25.01.2022 A big thankyou to everyone who made yesterday at Pasterfield a success. The food and drinks for our Sponsors and Special Guests was outstanding and well setup and presented in light of the current Covid restrictions. Our scoreboard opening went extremely well, and we received some very positive feedback from our Lord Mayor and local MP on the event and our conduct on the use of the facility. Well done team ... Hawks again showing the way for AFL in the region.

24.01.2022 Grand Final Ticket Information for Supporters Online ticketing: Ticketing at Adelaide Street Oval will be via an online ticketing system (Event Brite). Competing clubs will be provided with instructions for accessing tickets by 1pm today.... Tickets links (including free tickets for player and officials via a promo code) will open at 1pm today and close at 5pm Friday. At 5pm on Friday remaining tickets will be opened to the HCC football community. I will provide this link to clubs in the next day. *Tickets do not need to be printed, and can be scanned from mobile phones Under 16 year old have free entry and do not need an event brite ticket, however, they must be signed in via the QR code on display at the entry gate (parents to complete on their behalf as required) prior to entry. To assist with ensuring everyone can access the venue for relevant games the league requests clubs reinforce the following with those attending; A ‘play and go’ approach where possible. Arriving no earlier than 90 minutes prior to relevant games where possible Please be aware the ground is subject to a COVID capacity, which at times may necessitate a line to enter the ground.

15.01.2022 The Cardiff Australian Football Club is seeking interested Senior Coaches for the 2021 season, including Senior Men’s Coach, Senior Reserve Grade Men’s Coach, and Senior Women’s Coach. The Senior Coaching group will work closely with the Football Manager in establishing consistent and best practice coaching policies, individual and team development plans in addition to games plans; that give the club the greatest opportunity for on-field success. The Head Coach’s primary role... is to manage the on-field performance of the club’s Black Diamond Cup Men’s squads; but providing leadership within the club is equally important (i.e. mentoring other coaches, driving player recruitment, coordinating off-field club resources and fostering junior development). The successful candidates will have outstanding leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, well-developed knowledge and expertise in building a high performance team environment and the ability to lead and embed a winning culture including proven success the coaching field. Selection criteria Candidates will need to address the following competencies and experience: Level 1 (preferred Level 2 for Head Coach) AFL Coaching Accreditation Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (face to face and social media) Demonstrated coaching experience and success in a high-performance environment Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing strategic game plans in an Australian Rules football environment Ability to create and foster a positive, professional and inclusive culture Demonstrated experience in implementing values and behaviors for a winning culture both on and off the field

08.01.2022 Posting on behalf of The Palmer Family Robert Aka Bob Palmer Trent and Mollie Palmer along with Dorothy Palmer and family would like to warmly invite everyone who knew and loved Bob to join them to celebrate the life of their dearly loved father, son, brother, brother-in-law and uncle, ‘Robert (Bob) Palmer’. The service will be held at 2.30pm on Tuesday 22nd December 2020 at The Chapel, Harris Street Wallsend. Due to current restrictions entry to the Chapel is limited and ...will be filled (by invite) with Bob’s large family and speakers however there is plenty of space for all who would like to attend to give him a fine farewell as the service will be streamed to the adjacent Memories Function Centre and outside the Chapel. A wake will be held at Shortland Hotel following the service. You are welcome to wear anything Bob would approve of eg. Shortland Devils, Roosters, the team colours you represent, Hawaiian shirt or smart casual. We would like to thank everyone for the beautiful kind words about Bob and for all the support. It really warms our hearts and gives us strength to hear that so many people knew him and only have such positive things to say far and wide. It is truly uplifting at this difficult time.
