The draft guideline and associated consultation documents may be accessed on the Heart Foundation website from: 31st July until the close of consultation on the 28th August 2015. The draft clinical guideline has been prepared to assist health professionals across the Australian healthcare system with the latest evidence for controlling blood pressure. The draft guideline provides updated evidence-based recommendations about: methods for diagnosis and monitoring hypertension; effective lifestyle and drug treatment strategies for patients with hypertension; and managing complex patients who have co-morbidities.
