20.01.2022 In the Clarkson Kindy room, the children have a strong interest in finding worms in our gardens. This led to a number of books like 'The Hungry Caterpillar' as well as setting up a table with play dough and loose parts to design their own works, caterpillars and butterflies.

20.01.2022 On Friday 14th August, five of our Management Team attended a Reggio Emilia Workshop, facilitated by Pardip Kaur. Each came away with new ideas, strategies and skills that will further inspire our Care for Kids Educators and Services, in the Reggio Emilia Philosophy/ Approach. Learning and teaching should not stand on opposite banks and just watch the river flow by; instead, they should embark together on a journey down the water. 11.01.2022 This weekend some of our Educators undertook a full day of First Aid Training through St John's at our Banksia Grove centre. This course provides the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response, including CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma training specifically for educators and support staff working within an education and care setting. Did you know our Educators renew their full first aid every two years and have CPR refreshers annually.

07.01.2022 For NAIDOC Week last week the children at Davallia OSHC used coloured sand, cornflour and bi carb to make Indigenous flag art. Educators and children had detailed discussions about what each colour of the Indigenous flag represents.

05.01.2022 At Kingsley Kindy Room children had an incursion from the Association for the Welfare of Children in Hospital WA Inc. The purpose was to increase children’s knowledge and reduce their anxiety about hospitalisation and medical care. After the presentation, they were able to engage in role play using the wheel chair, crutches, puzzles, bandages along with other medical equipment on life sized dolls. We had a wonderful time exploring!

04.01.2022 At Mosman Park, having made its nest outside the toddler room window, our resident spotted dove is generating lots of curiosity among the children after the successful hatching of two chicks. The chicks are growing super-fast and the children check in on them every day!
