19.01.2022 Come see our learning environments... At CFK we like to focus on the presentation of our learning environments with the use of materials that assists young children in focussing their ideas and skills in creating and building. 18.01.2022 Young children can get overtired so easily. When they do, they find it harder to get to sleep. 07.01.2022 Why The Project Approach is so important for childrens development and School Readiness? Here at CFK Seymour we love to teach through the Project Approach as we know: It provides opportunities for individual children or small groups to explore aspects of the project that are of specific interest to them. It provides opportunities for children to negotiate the medium used for creating and sharing their project.... Encourages children to engage with research materials including authentic objects, books, magazines, newspapers, music and websites. It supports children to suggest alternative and creative ways to approach the project. It supports the children to use information and communication techonologies as a creative tool to generate simple solutions, modifications or data representations. Nevertheless, enables children to reflect on whether they are satisfied with the outcome of the project. (early childhood.gov.au). Next time you are in the service take some time to view our awesome displays and wonderful projects!especially on our mini beasts project.

03.01.2022 Project planning: Our preschoolers this week continued their investigation on Bees as we focused on the production of honey. What better way to have honey is by incorporating it into a hands on fun cooking experience for the children. Here at CFK we like to use project based learning as part of our learning curriculum. This is where children inquire about something that interests them, which then leads us naturally into a cycle of planning, scaffolding and evaluation that is child led and project focused.
