25.01.2022 Our lovely @missuniverseaustralia.official patients @rebeccaportugall and @_charlotteryan looking fabulous as always with their Pola Smile

25.01.2022 It’s not just dental projects Dr Chris juggles

25.01.2022 This young lady lost her beautiful smile as she suffered from an accident to the upper right central incisor. She wanted a replacement that could replicate not only the tooth but the gingival frame around it too. She had high expectations to achieve a result that no one could detect any difference. At the end, a huge smile was what she gave us!

24.01.2022 Slowly things are going back to normal. As of Monday 26th of April dental restrictions have lowered from Level 3 (emergency only) to Level 2. What does this mean? This means we can see our patients again for most treatment ... We are so happy to see our patients again but as always, we will be implementing the highest standard of infection control. We also are temperature testing our patients and pre screening them for COVID19 symptoms. We can’t wait to see you again. 9415 2777 [email protected] #specialist#sydneyprosth#sydneyspecialist#chatswood#allon4#dental#dentistsydney#sydneydentalimpants#teethinaday#implantspecialist#affordableimplants

23.01.2022 One of our operating theatres at Care Dentistry is equipped with extensive photographic and media capabilities. While it’s not quite your average watch, it does allow us to live stream surgery online to broaden our audience base and educate the next generation of dental specialists.

22.01.2022 Dr Chris Ho is always passing on his knowledge and experience to keep educating and inspiring others, even during this pandemic!

22.01.2022 Dental Veneers are often used to whiten discoloured teeth, close gaps and straighten misshapen teeth. We are looking forward to leading specialist Dr Christopher Ho's next education series to Australian dentists on developments in dental veneers and expertise in shade assessments later this year at the Australian Dental Association.

21.01.2022 Here’s to moderation Of course one drink won’t harm your teeth significantly. In fact, the Australian Government Department of Health guidelines advise to drink no more than 10 standard drinks per week, and no more than 4 on any one day. So you can easily raise a couple of glasses over the silly season. Plus, one of the best ways to minimise the damage to your teeth by soft drinks and juices, is a straw! There’s been a fair few bars banning them, so it’s worth getting your own reusable one.

20.01.2022 Dental Implants are more comfortable than permanent dentures..however for some patients a temporary denture may be required while waiting for their new smile. Our tips to manage this while you wait. Remember good things comes to those that wait. Click on link for tips ->https://bit.ly/2YhcWae

20.01.2022 What a difference a day makes! This lovely patient wasn’t happy with her teeth, and opted for our Teeth in a Day Procedure. A full arch later she’s proudly wearing her smile again. DISCLAIMER: Results may vary between individuals. Any dental procedure carries risks and benefits.

19.01.2022 The sacrifices we have made thus far in flattening the COVID-19 curve embodies our intrinsic ANZAC spirit. Our Periodontist, Dr. Khai Nguyen is an ANZAC having also proudly served on Operational tour in Afghanistan. Although this year’s celebrations will be different, he has asked that we all take a moment today to reflect and thank all our fallen, former and current serving Defence Force personnel across the globe who have made far greater sacrifices to make our nation great. Lest we forget. #anzacday2020 #wewillrememberthem #anzacspirit

19.01.2022 We always find time to smile. Dentistry is a high stress, and often very serious profession. It’s important to remember to smile, enjoy the moment and have some fun along the way.

11.01.2022 Seeing how an improved smile can boost my patient’s self esteem is what makes implant and prosthodontic dentistry my passion. Whether someone can’t smile, is too embarrassed to interact or isn’t able to eat dental expertise can change their whole outlook. It can be quite the emotional journey, not only for the patient but for me and the team too.

10.01.2022 We all know there is so much expertise involved in restoring someone’s smile when the full upper arch is missing, but the wonderful results go beyond what pictures can capture.

09.01.2022 The best weeks start on Monday Make it a great one!

09.01.2022 I can’t believe it’s almost been 3 years since I spoke at IDEM in Singapore! While everyone’s outlook on travel has changed since then, my views on additive dentistry haven’t. I continue to believe more dentists should use additive dentistry. In the past, we had to grind teeth down to provide room for crowns made of porcelain fused to metal. Now, we can just bond very thin layers of materials such as ceramic or nano-hybrid composite resin to the remaining tooth structure inst...ead. This is healthier and a superior treatment option because when you remove tooth structure, you are removing the integrity of the tooth and weakening the tooth, and you might also cause inadvertent damage to the pulp in the tooth. There’s a lot more to say about this, like I did during my talk at IDEM, but the essence remains the same.

08.01.2022 A message from Dr Chris. I’m not the first to say 2020 has been a challenging year. 05.01.2022 Care Dentistry: where smiles are made.

04.01.2022 Christmas cheers and their effect on your teeth The Silly Season is fast approaching, and with that: a time we tend to overindulge. But before we cheers on the final month of a tough year, read on for how alcohol impacts your oral health. Unfortunately, for those who like celebrating the holidays with a couple of glasses, alcohol is a significant risk factor of oral cancer and may also play a role in the aetiology of oral leukoplakia. ... Alcoholic beverages like wine, are potential risk factors of dental erosion. The mechanism by which wine causes erosion is linked to its acidity. Wine may also lead to tooth discolouration and dentine hypersensitivity. Additionally, mixers for cocktails or spirits are often combined with soft drinks which have sugar that causes plaque and decay but also acid in both regular and diet options which potentiates dental erosion. Dentists being health care practitioners should use every opportunity to educate patients about the risks of alcohol use and abuse. Enjoy your holiday season this year, we all absolutely deserve it - but keep your health in mind!

02.01.2022 The place to downsize. With something as intricate as the mouth, it’s no surprise we’re having to work with extraordinary instruments. Dealing with miniature screws and components means that we have to calibrate our instruments to ensure that they deliver the right solutions for our patients.

02.01.2022 Teaching is one of my favourite ways of giving back. Especially in times of COVID, I’m so grateful to have access to extensive photographic and media capabilities.
