25.01.2022 I love this quote as it says a lot about the mindset of a high performer.

25.01.2022 What’s your favourite meme to sum up 2020 so far. I look forward to seeing what you come up with!

22.01.2022 Hope you are having a great day.

20.01.2022 If you need a dose of motivation to finish 2020 strong then try this: Look through your email contacts or social media followers/friends lists for the names of 7 people who have inspired you in the past. It could be someone whose work you admire someone pushed you to work harder at a job or in school who posts inspirational content that you enjoy ... or whose dedication in the gym or on the playing field made you want to try harder!... Then, every day for the next 7 days choose one of them to message with a thank you and be sure to tell them the impact they made on you! This can help break you out of a rut and rev up your own motivation! Plus, it’s a great way to pay it forward. Try it and see what happens. :)

20.01.2022 A big well done to all of the fitness instructors who did the 1st part of the Pilates course on Zoom yesterday with Lisa Davis.

20.01.2022 Let’s talk about ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS! If you use them because you crave sweets, you might be setting yourself up for even MORE SUGAR CRAVINGS. I know it seems weird but ... Scientists say non-caloric sweeteners can change how sensitive your taste buds are to sweetness. Some of them are 200 to 20,000 times sweetener than actual sugar!!! Over time, this can cause you to crave even MORE sugar. The Takeaway: be mindful when it comes to your intake of artificial sweeteners and your cravings! When was the last time you had a diet soft drink?

19.01.2022 What’s the craziest/weirdest food you’ve ever tried?

19.01.2022 Nice photo of Nathan Flynn who is our Myofascial Release CEC course presenter. We still have a handful of places left in the next course which kicks off via Zoom at 9am this coming Saturday. If you are interested in attending then please send me a PM, comment below or visit https://www.careerfitness.com.au/content/myofascial-release

16.01.2022 This is so true!

16.01.2022 What are you DOING TODAY to improve your fitness?

14.01.2022 It’s workout time which do you choose? (There is no wrong answer!)

13.01.2022 Can you relate to this photo?

13.01.2022 When is the LAST time you gave someone a compliment? What did you say?

11.01.2022 MYTH OR FACT Being self-critical can help you improve your actions and make you more confident as a result. FALSE! ... Experts say constantly criticising yourself does just the OPPOSITE of building confidence and self-esteem! Constantly listening to a negative voice in your head can lead to feelings of depression exactly the opposite of feeling motivated and positive about your abilities. Instead, they recommend self-compassion. This means shutting down that negative voice and noticing the things you did well as well as praising yourself for lessons learned. If you’re not satisfied with your performance, instead of beating yourself up for not doing well, bring the lessons learned forward to the next time! Agree? Disagree? Let me know below

08.01.2022 I have not posted much lately for a number of reason! However, I am now back fully committed to posting daily health and fitness tips, tools, and questions as well as letting you know about upcoming professional development opportunities. So let's kick off with one of our famous Friday questions!... What’s your favourite go-to dinner for busy nights? See more

07.01.2022 I love this piece of wisdom!

06.01.2022 Here is a reminder for all of us fitness professionals! Might be a good image to share with your clients.

06.01.2022 If you’re feeling stressed or anxious ... here's a quick way to turn it around! When you breathe, make your EXHALE longer than your INHALE. (Seriously, try it right now. It’s kind of magical!) This works with your body’s nervous system (through your vagus nerve) to help shut down your body’s stress response AND release feel-good relaxing hormones, helping to calm you!... For even greater benefit, try to breathe through your nose vs your mouth. Do you ALREADY do this!? Let me know below

05.01.2022 Who are you most thankful for this year?

05.01.2022 Choose 3 words that describe how your workouts make you feel ...

05.01.2022 MYTH OR FACT The fitter you are, the more you sweat? FACT! ... Fit people tend to sweat more than people who don’t work out regularly. It’s all about how much heat they generate! The fitter you are, the higher your workload and the higher your workload, the more heat you generate! That’s what leads to the extra sweat. Also men tend to sweat more than women because they are bigger and generate more heat.

04.01.2022 I really like this quote!
