Her involvement has been at a State, National & International level. She was a founding member of the Not for Profit organization, Care for Life Suicide Prevention Assoc. which in merging with Wesley Lifeforce became Care For ...Life Suicide Prevention Network. Raylee received a Life award from Suicide Prevention Australia in 2006 for her contribution to suicide prevention in Australia, a Premiers award for Qld Seniors in 2010 and a Gold Coast City Council Award in 2016 for her work in suicide prevention at the local level. Raylee’s background is in Education with TAFE and Qld Health under the Qld Health suicide prevention strategy. Raylee developed a training program to educate those working with young people and the community prior to training being available . Locally she has set up suicide prevention networks and committees within TAFE, Rotary and the community. Developing strategies for suicide prevention has been the main focus of the work undertaken. 03.01.2022 Pathways Gold Coast Response Service (PGRS) was established to fill a much needed gap on the Gold Coast and is an initiative of Care for Life Suicide Prevention Network and Lifeline to support those bereaved by suicide through an outreach service. Pathways commenced in November 2016 after considerable consultation with Queensland Police Service (QPS) and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) and a start up grant from Wesley LifeForce. In 2017, PGRS is a Police Referrals Serv...ices Provider. If you are bereaved by suicide (or affected by someone who has taken their life by suicide), PGCRS can send out a couple of support workers to your home, or a location that is convenient, to provide emotional support at this traumatic time.
