25.01.2022 Carers NT - Working closely with Gumatj and the Gunyangara Community.

25.01.2022 An interesting night at the NT Young Achievers awards, that were held online this year - hosted by Channel7, with a few of the nominated Young Carers in attendance. The Event was still engaging and we all enjoyed the evening. Young Carers Ebony Cubillo, Stephengen Magadia, Alissa Collins and Eloy Mason were there on the night with Emma Symonds unable to attend. Well done to Ebony Cubillo who won the Young Carer of the Year award and gave an emotional and rousing speech. Well done to all our Young Carers.

The launch of the easy-to-use portal coincides with the opening of the annual membership renewal process for 2021. The new digital process is fast and secure, and will replace the forme...r paper-based form and declaration. Members can use the online portal to renew their membership by visiting www.ntconcessions.nt.gov.au/renew or by clicking on the link below. Members must renew between 1 January and 30 June each year to continue receiving concessions and payments. Existing members are made aware of the annual renewal process via notifications and reminders by email or letter, with SMS reminders sent between January and June. Members who are unable to complete the process online can renew their membership by visiting a Territory Families, Housing and Communities service centre, or by calling 1800 777 704 (free call).
