25.01.2022 We missed it because of COVID! The 12 month anniversary of Carey Bay Toronto Scout Group reopening after being in recess for about 5 years. A huge thank you to the people who stepped forward & took positions as leaders & committee people. Our group has grown so much & we are all very excited at what we have achieved. Thank you to our community, schools & everyone who has donated to our group. We wouldn’t be where we are without your wonderful support. Thank you to all the mums & dads in our area who have joined their children up to enjoy all the fun we have Scouting. There is still plenty of room for more. Girls & boys aged 5-14. Congratulations Carey Bay Toronto Scout Group & hopefully there will be many more years of fun & laughter in the hall. COME AND JOIN US FOR SOME FUN

21.01.2022 Carey Bay Toronto Cubs & Scouts decided to hit the trail for a night hike tonight from Hepplewhites Firetrail at Bolton Point. Much fun & laughter was had by all but it appears most of the wildlife took off in fright except for one lonely owl. So glad you all had so much fun and at the beginning of the hike we invested a new Cub. Welcome Ruby.

21.01.2022 What made our ambassadors who they are today? Scouts.

19.01.2022 Carey Bay Toronto Scout Group are selling chocolates to help us raise money to buy camping gear. When we reopened 12 months ago we had a working bee to see what we had & we found most of the gear that the old group had was either pinched or was so old we had to throw it out. So all the money we can raise helps us sooo much cause we get no funding from the Scout Association at all. So if you see someone out & about selling these chocolates please support our group.

18.01.2022 12 months ago today was the official opening of our group formerly known as 1st Toronto although we had our first meeting in July. We have many people in the community that we need to thank for the tremendous support they have given us and to continue to give us. We have had to begin from the ground & work up as the hall had been empty of Scouting for over 5 years. When we started up everything was in disrepair. We needed and still need heaps of assistance as everything we n...eed must be done with money raised by our group or from wonderful donations from people outside our group. There are still many jobs we would like to get done in & around the hall. We get no financial assistance from Scouts Australia for anything. Thank you to all our leaders & families who started with us, still with us, our newer families & the families who have left us over the past 12 months. Without your help we would not be able to continue. See all the fun we have. the pictures are a small show of some of the fun activities we do. Would you like to join us. Please message us & we will give you all our details. See more

15.01.2022 Looking for a sponsor for our first group shirt. We would like to give one to all our youth, leaders & parents (who would like one). We need around 40 for our first order. Our problem is we just don't have the money to purchase them at the moment. We restarted the group this time last year & so financially we are not great. If anyone can help us or know someone that may be able to help us please contact us. We would be all so grateful. The sponsors name will be included on our shirts.

14.01.2022 A little bit of history about our Scout hall - Looks like it was next to the train line on the small corner of Victory Pde and Cary Street where ‘Lifestyle Marine’ currently is (We knew this bit). It was purchased by ‘Young and Green’ - assume the Holden dealership in 1970.

13.01.2022 THANK YOU SO MUCH Tom, Jason & Shaun & Rathmines Cubs for giving our Cubs so much fun over the weekend. You all do an awesome job & I bet you all slept well last night. At long last things are starting to ease & we can start doing more "scouting" activities. Thank you Leanne & Mark Shields for our kayaks & one of our groups mums whose parents donated our canoes. The Cubs had so much fun out on the water over the weekend. Would your child like to join the fun. We still have plenty of room for girls & boys aged from 5 -14 years of age

13.01.2022 Carey Bay Toronto Joeys had an awesome afternoon hike with our leaders & parents helpers on the Kilaben Bay Fire Trail. On the way they had to spot the animals. So much fun was had by all & no-one fell in the water. Want to join & have fun as well. Joeys are boys & girls aged 5-8. We meet Thursday afternoons at 4.30. Send us a message & we will give you all the details. Please share. The more shares we get the more children we may get to join our fun.

12.01.2022 A huge thank you to Coal Point Progress Association for donating money to our group to purchase a tent. We are so very grateful.

10.01.2022 The Duchess of Cambridge's first move as Joint President of the Scouts was to thank volunteers across the UK for their brilliant work supporting families and co...mmunities. She then spent time meeting young people who've benefited from Scouts and their parents and carers, before taking part in some socially distanced activities. 06.01.2022 WE ARE BACK and what an awesome way to start a new term than with a fire. Had lots of fun last night going over camp fire safety and the process of lighting a camp fire. Add in a little competition element to it and the kids had a ball. Good to see a scout come out on top and help the cubs get going as well. Want to join the FUN contact us through here.

06.01.2022 ,Due to unforeseen circumstances we no longer have a Scout Leader. So we desperately need one urgently. If you or you know someone could could help us PLEASE let me know. We have 1 scout now and about 4 Cubs due to move to Scouts. These kids are missing out on Scout work, which is the next level up from Cubs. This will prevent these kids going to Coroborees (region camps) & the ultimate Jamborees. They need to be trained as Scouts not Cubs.D
