07.01.2022 Our History: Over 50 Years of Sports... After leaving school in Year 10, Brian Cargill began Cargills Sports Store in the 1950s with his mother Thelma. Later he was joined by Ronald Yann (seen pictured above on the left of Brian). The shop has provided sporting, camping and fishing goods (plus MORE!) to the town of Wonthaggi for over 50 years and is now run by Brian’s two sons, Andrew and Russell Cargill.
