23.01.2022 We are so pleased to have hosted Gordon Hendricks is ELVIS. Gordon Hendricks was crowned the ‘2017 ULTIMATE ELVIS TRIBUTE ARTIST’ which made Gordon officially ‘THE NO. 1 ELVIS TRIBUTE ARTIST IN THE WORLD. Caribbean Motel also accommodated with him , the ever so pleasant and friendly Rockwell Band and Singers, with special guests leading Australian Tribute Artist, Marcus Jackson Marcus "Elvis" Jackson Fan Club and the superb talent of former Irish/Australian Entertainer of the year Shaylee Wilde What a world of talent in one group of guests ! Thank you for staying with us and best of luck on the rest of your tour !

23.01.2022 It is with very heavy hearts that we learn of this tragedy this evening. Although we do not yet know the names of those lost today, we have been fortunate to host many of the Coulson Aviation - Next Gen Firefighting crew at The Caribbean Motel over the last 3 months and as recently as 2 nights ago . Our deepest and heartfelt condolences are extended to their families, friends and colleagues . Although they have now paid the ultimate price for their bravery, may they RIP with the knowledge of all the lives saved and hope restored by their valiant efforts during Australia 's worst fire tragedy in history. . 20.01.2022 Out with all the negatives that 2020 brought with it and onwards with hope, positivity and gratefulness for our family, friends, guests, staff and all that is good in our lives and businesses. HAPPY NEW YEAR !

19.01.2022 Our Covid postponed renos are now scheduled for May ! YEAH !! In the meantime, we've already started a few upgrades in advance ! New beds , smart TVs , AC units, Sliding balcony doors, lounges and sofabeds all recently installed! We are now busily sorting through choices of benchtops, tiles, basins, sinks, tap curtains, wall hangings and light fittings etc etc EXCITED !!

14.01.2022 Using the slower foot traffic to do a little deep cleaning. We are hoping to start the same on the rooms and motel interior next week (now that the March refurbishment plans have had to be shelved indefinitely). We remain optimistic in preparation for resumption of business.... and look forward to seeing the return of all our regular guests ( as well as those we have not met yet !)

14.01.2022 Although almost all business has come to a standstill, we have not been deemed as non-essential and therefore remain open for essential travellers' accommodation needs. Please be advised that strict precautions are being taken to ensure no person to person contact between management and/or guests. Stringent measures for disinfection are also in place. To ensure social distancing opportunity, minimal bookings are being taken for any given date . We are also restricting use of rooms to 3 nights between guest bookings . We assure you that we are taking this crisis, as well as all advice, extremely seriously as it indeed, actually is!

We think the location is perfect , less than 100 metres from the beach & as the sun goes down, why not sit back, relax & take in a great atmosphere with music from 50s & 60’s, check out the cars, go for a dip? This year you can bring your own chair, and small picnic basket with dips and snacks if you wish. We recommend you book online ahead to avoid waiting in the queue on the day. 11.01.2022 Congratulations to Coffs Harbour Kart Racing Club on their first event back on the track. All accounts indicate a resounding success, albeit, without spectators . A huge THANK YOU to the karters who chose to stay with us at Caribbean Motel with Covid restrictions and very little interaction, if any, with our guests . Your patronage is much appreciated. Maybe spectators in a few weeks time !

11.01.2022 One great triumph finally achieved albeit with heavy loss of life and homes :'( As of 8pm tonight, the Currowan Fire burning in the Shoalhaven has been officially set to out. The fire, which spanned for 74 days, burnt out 499,621 hectares and spans from each end of the Shoalhaven Local Government Area, as well as spreading in to neighbouring areas including Eurobodalla, Wingecarribee and Queanbeyan Palerang. 312 homes were destroyed and 173 damaged. Among all the Covid restrictions, the Coffs Harbour Kart Racing Club successfully and responsibly managed their 2nd meet since easing of social distancing. We look forward to more "face to face contact" with our guests as the restrictions are lifted even more. Well done to organizers and competitors.

09.01.2022 AMAZING effort began by a single bloke 6 years ago !! The money fundraised and held in the Rotary Club bank account is used to fuel the trucks that transport the donated hay. No one in the Burrumbuttock Hay Run group are paid a wage, everyone is volunteers. This includes all the truck drivers who also donate the use of their trucks & machinery to load and unload the hay.
