18.01.2022 The Victorian Government recently announced an easing of some restrictions related to Covid-19. These positive but cautious first steps included reference to ‘non-food and drink market stalls’, and their ability to reopen after 31 May 2020. While this announcement is encouraging, staff and management are still working on plans for opening and future proofing Caribbean Gardens & Market. We'd appreciate the support of all stall holders as you help drive our decision making.... We have put together a short survey to gather your critical feedback to help us determine when the market can recommence trading. If you are a stall holder please fill out this survey at your earliest convenience https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/69RWXDK For more information see our FAQ's page: https://caribbeangardens.com.au/caribbean-market-and-garde/

09.01.2022 Today Management confirmed the closure of its iconic Caribbean Market. Established in the 1970s, Caribbean Market has welcomed over 40 million visitors and for decades has been the benchmark for family fun and entertainment. Covid-19 forced the suspension of the market for the very first time in its history and has now been confirmed closed for the foreseeable future. As a privately-run market in these current circumstances it is simply unviable to reopen.... Whilst no immediate plans are in place to replace the market lands, they do form part of a 500 acre future masterplan. Although this is a hard decision and a sad time we must celebrate the markets achievement and thank each and every customer, stall holder, visitor and staff for their partnership and for making Caribbean Market the icon it became. Please see FAQs for further information or leave a comment via this link https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/6NLCQ9X
