22.01.2022 Right about now I should’ve been giving a wrap up of results and a huge congrats post to all of the Caribeae squad members competing with the Capricornia team at the Qld School Swimming Championships over this last week. It would’ve been a great post full of awesome swimming achievements. It wasn’t to be. The Championships were cancelled due to Coronavirus and our swimmers stayed home...we will now prepare to be even better next time!! It seems the least I can do is acknowl...edge the Caribeae kids who achieved selection to represent Capricornia... 10-12 years: Cooper Love, Julia Schultz, Jorja Hallam, Jade Mauger, Levi Thomsen, Jack O’Brien, Bailee Love, Emilee Hill. 13-19 years: Jack Kelly, Will Salmond, Tyler Seagrott, Kourtney Draper, Danielle Kennedy, Danielle Schultz, Amber Webber, Spencer Brown, Hamish Nolan-Munns, Koda Milburn, Hannah Kelly, Zara Peut. Well done team. Bigger and better next year See more

21.01.2022 COVID-19 update Sunday 22nd March To our valued customers, Caribeae Swimming Academy is operating as normal for now in this ever evolving situation. We are a covered outdoor open air centre. We will continue to provide some normal routine for your child/children for as long as we safely can.... The PM tonight announced further restrictions to slow the spread of the virus. These restrictions will inevitably include us and most likely enforce our closure for the greater good at some stage but for now we are able to continue as normal. We are constantly seeking advice and clarification from ASCTA, the National Hotline and Qld Health Dept Hotline and we will continue to monitor the situation. Should we be advised or directed to close we will do this, and advise our clients via our Facebook page and website (www.caribeae.com). Each State and Territory is at their own stage of this pandemic crisis and this is taken in to consideration. We are aware a lot of swim schools in NSW and VIC have closed or will close from tomorrow but this is a clear directive from their respective State Governments. Should we be directed to close we will also do so. Social Distancing: This is a general guideline, however in cases where an organisation is unable to follow this guideline due to the operation of the business e.g. hairdresser or for safety i.e. swim school, it is permitted to transgress this guideline. It is advised to attempt to follow this guideline where it is safe to do so i.e. with more advanced swimmers who are water safe. Ultimately the choice is absolutely yours. If you decide you would prefer your child not swim at this stage please don’t feel obliged. Please call us and we will hold your lesson balance in credit for when you feel safe to return although you will need to phone us to rebook your time/day. We have implemented more disinfection and hygiene practices. In order for us to maintain best practice in this current situation we ask for your assistance: 1. If you or your child are unwell with flu like symptoms or a temperature please stay safe and at home. 2. Please adhere to strict personal hygiene practices and social distancing. 3. Minimise your time at our centre before and after your swimming session. We love having you all at our centre but for now we ask if you can keep your visit to a minimum. We would like to thank ASCTA and Swim Australia for their constant support and advice during this challenging time. We would also like to thank all our customers for their ongoing support of our Swimming Centre. Please stay safe and healthy everyone.

19.01.2022 Dear Valued Customers, Caribeae Swimming Academy is currently operating as normal. As we navigate through the unprecedented situation regarding COVID-19, we wanted to connect with you all to outline the current measures we are taking to ensure the health and well-being of our valued customers and team.... Caribeae already apply strict pool chlorination standards and general hygiene practices that are part of our daily routine, however we have put in place additional steps to ensure we are doing all we can to minimize risk. This includes increased disinfecting of all surfaces, including floors, benches and seating areas, and all equipment. We are also providing access to hand sanitizer in our administration and shop area. Caribeae is currently operating as normal (until further advice from Swimming Australia and the Government) however we ask that anyone who is experiencing virus-like symptoms, to stay safe & at home. Should we be required to restrict our services or close our centre for any length of time please know we will advise our customers of this and we will hold your unused lessons in credit. We will then advise you when we are able to safely recommence lessons. If you are unable to make your lesson due to illness please call our office to make arrangements to reschedule your lesson for a later date. If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to contact us on 49261650. Can I finish by mentioning how important it is to shop locally and support businesses in your local area. We all need to work together to get through this.
