22.01.2022 Two incredible and incredibly diverse vehicles worked on this week. Both examples of what the Bentley and Mercedes AMG Brands can do when at the top of their game. The Bentley, a 2014 Sprint convertible. Performance is blistering while at the same time the interior is simply breathtaking in its opulence and craftsmanship. Its deep glistening clear coat requiring its own unique approach in correction and protection. Enter the Mercedes AMG C63S. A vehicle completely different i...n design and approach but sharing the philosophy of marrying performance and comfort. This vehicle had a factory Matte paint finish, it could not be more opposite in its approach from a detailing perspective than the Bentley. Both a joy to work on. For those into Matte finishes . . . I'll make a few comments on what and how to purchase the best Matte finish very soon. Regards, Brett See more

22.01.2022 Lovely HQ (Monaro recreation) worked on yesterday. Now while it had good gloss in general prior to me working on it, it suffered a bit from being a little 'killed with kindness'. What happens guys, and I see it a bit, people wiping cars down at shows etc with a dry cloth of some sort. What is happening here is that you actually are dragging hard contaminants across and into the paint creating what is called 'micro marring' or fine scratches and swirls into the paint. This dramatically drops the paints gloss level. Solution? To minimise this use a waterless car wash (Meguiar's quick detailer being an easy choice to obtain or Bowdens have an equivalent). The spray acts as a surface lubricant as you wipe, minimising the chance of developing such damage. Enjoy the pics and stay Covid safe. Brett

21.01.2022 Classic car prices are rising to amazing levels. Holden prices are seriously on the march from month to month. . . . .but it is this little jewel I spotted today in a certain location that took me by complete surprise. Instantly recognised it as a Mazda I saw around in my youth. The RE 10 badge on the front Grill might not mean much to many but immediately identified it to me as an early example of Mazda's bold first footsteps into the area of 'rotary engined' powered vehicles as opposed to the normal piston engined models. Turns out this humble vehicle is one of only 22 ever produced in the world. Thats right . . .one of twenty two. Shannons 'unseen' insurance value was quoted over the phone at $140,000. What a treat to view it on my own. For those seriously into early Rotaries . . . . Enjoy.

18.01.2022 A very nice cruisy Mercedes returned to its very best. Really nice convertible thats been in the hands of the one family since new. However it was showing the signs of 13 years of wear and tear, certainly not neglect. The latest family member (owner) deciding it was the time for a thorough re conditioning of its appearance. Challenges were the the extremely light coloured interior (the worst for detailers) as well as the black exterior, (the most challenging for detailers). Results were simply great for a beautiful Mercedes and had one very proud owner brimming with pride with his 'new' Mercedes. A very challenging but very satisfying car to work on. . . . results speak.

11.01.2022 Some really special vehicles attended to this week. One a VS Commodore (1997) HSV GTS in Cherry Black with an incredibly low 7,000 odd kilometers on the clock. How unique. Paint scuffed out but owner and myself seriously chuffed with the paint correction procedure and the follow up application of a ceramic coating which will protect this car for years.
