19.01.2022 "Quarantine Myopia" is the term being used to describe children who have become short-sighted, or have had their short-sightedness rapidly progress due to lockdowns all over the world. A Chinese study found myopia prevalence was three times higher in six-year-olds during the COVID-19 pandemic. This finding is not surprising given the understanding that we have on short-sightedness.
