22.01.2022 Its May and that means that our school community is gearing up for the sea of flowers that will be bunched ready for our Annual Mothers Day Flower Stall. Flowers will be ready for sale on Friday 10th from 3pm, all weekend until sold out. Come and see us on the corner of Cuthred Street and Creek Road. Flowers bunched with love by our school families for the special women in your lives. All profits go back into our classrooms to support our students learning. We would love for you to support our school. Prices for bunches start from $15.00.

20.01.2022 Congratulations to our basketballers! Both the boys and girls teams reached the semi finals of the 2 day CBSQ 3x3 competition. The girls showing how it is done against some very strong teams to finish 4th overall. Our boys proving that height is not everything, and with some really close games, they went on to finish 7th. A tremendous effort and we are very proud of you all. Rest up kids (and our PE teacher) as its back to school tomorrow.

12.01.2022 A huge thank you for all the kind and thoughtful donations for the class charity Christmas hampers last week. Anthony from St Vincent de Paul was blown away at the generosity from our small community. The hampers will be repacked and distributed to families in need in our local area.

12.01.2022 It is with a very heavy heart that the Carina SS P&C have made the decision to cancel this years Mothers Day Flower Stall due to the Covid-19 situation. Rest assured that this event will be back bigger and brighter in 2021 and we look forward to seeing you at the stall then.

06.01.2022 Today we had a visit from the Red Dust Heelers. This was part of a visit to Brisbane organised by Paralympics Australia. This group of Aboriginal and non Aboriginal people with and without disabilities are committed to the inclusion of people with disability in all areas of life; building healing friendships and a connected community. They shared their personal stories with our students of all age levels and they then showed our Carina kids what kids with disabilities CAN DO, especially with a basketball! The best message that they shared was how important it is to celebrate difference, include everyone and be kind to each other.

06.01.2022 Our School Captians recently showed Mr Ross Vasta MP the newly installed shade sails here at Carina State School. Mr Vasta arranged the Government grant to have them built to provide much needed shade over our Quad Area. We all think they look great!

05.01.2022 Well we have survived Week 1 2020! A special welcome to all that are new to our Carina Community, whether you started in Prep or any year level across the school we are happy to have you join us. Welcome back also to our continuing students and families, great to see all your smiling faces back this week. We also hope that our graduating Year 6 2019 students are having a great start to High School. We miss you but know that you are already thriving!
