23.01.2022 Hello to all our Bowie followers!! Whos excited for our 2020 Bowie festival??? With all our latest drops of rain and some water filling our nearby river Carin...da is feeling abit more revived!!! Fingers crossed for some more rain!! Now we are receiving a lot of questions in regards to tickets and Glamping tent bookings. Tickets will go on sale soon and will be available via our facebook page and website. Tickets will also be available to purchase at the event. Glamping tents will be available from when the booking link is put up on our facebook page and website all the way up to 2 weeks prior to the event. There is no set amount so no one will miss out. Heads up though the pub is unfortunately all booked out. Free camping is available at the event also. We cant wait to see you all October 2020 See more

21.01.2022 Dear Beloved Bowie Festival Fans, It is with a heavy heart we inform you that after a long discussion the Lets Dance committee have made the tough choice to ca...ncel the Lets Dance Carinda 2020 festival. The covid-19 is making things very unpredictable and difficult for us to organise the festival. Although some restrictions are being lifted and people can travel within NSW, we are not comfortable with going ahead and perhaps not getting the crowd numbers for the festival. We were also concerned about running the potential risk of bringing the virus into our small community. The other factor that has also impacted our decision is the financial situation in Australia. Covid-19 has impacted us all financially this year and with shops having to close for periods of time this has also impacted our ability to secure sponsor support for the festival. HOWEVER, this gives us more time to create a bigger and better Festival for 2021!!! We thank you all for your support, it has been most heart-warming. 18.01.2022 CANCELLED DUE TO THE CORONA VIRUS As most of you already know our lease at the Carinda Hotel is almost up and Paul and I have decided not to purchase the carinda hotel as it is time for us to move on. While we were at the pub we lost a dear friend Marie Draper, so for our last function/event we will be holding a fundraiser for the Macquarie Home Stay in Dubbo in memory of Marie, to assist with providing more accommodation facilities for country folks when in need. Macquarie ...Home stay offers affordable home like surrounding for country people and their families that are in Dubbo for medical treatment. So lets get behind this fundraiser and support this valuable asset in honour or Marie. Family fun and games day fundraiser Saturday the 21st March 2020. 15.01.2022 Major News - Ashes To Ashes will be headlining the Carinda (NSW) Lets Dance Festival this October! Put on your red shoes and dance the blues... its going to... be epic! Carinda is the town in remote NSW where David Bowie filmed the Lets Dance film clip in 1983! Each year performers and fans descend on the town from around Australia to pay homage and make the most of the October long weekend. As you all know our beloved friend and co- worker Marie past away from Her battle with Cancer last November and this is in honour of Marie and a way to say thank you and give back to this lovely place that go above and beyond for everyone who stays there and their families.
