25.01.2022 Welcome to Carindale Salvos Church! With school holidays occurring in QLD we are taking a break from Church on the Couch to allow for our Church leaders and others to take a break. We are excited to hear from some special guests speakers during this time though - this week we welcome Lieutenant Scott Frame from Bayside Salvos. We are grateful for the participation of our guests and look forward to what they have to share with us in the coming weeks. Thanks also to the fabulous members of our music team for providing the music.

21.01.2022 On Sunday we begin our Advent Series for 2020. In a year of cancellations and waiting we have something to declare! Christmas is NOT cancelled! In spite of our best efforts at efficiency, much of our time is spent waiting. Some years, it feels like we spend all 365 days in a waiting game. This four-week Christmas series examines four common life experiences that test our patience and threaten to take away the joy the comes with the gospel story. Whether it’s graduating yea...r 12, getting married, waiting for Christmas morning, or the birth of a child, we find ourselves longing for the big event. Christmas reminds us that God is at work even in the struggle and beauty of life. Despite difficult circumstances, Christmas isn’t, and will never be, cancelled. We look forward to sharing this advent series with you live on Facebook and YouTube Sunday's at 9:30am

18.01.2022 Have you fallen on a word for 2021 yet? This is Tim. His word is chill. And for anyone who knows Tim, they would know he is a very chill, coffee-loving, bicycle riding, marvel watching, Canadian fellow. But chill is taking on a new meaning in 2021 for Tim.... He is going to chill and rest in God's plan for his life. Knowing and trusting that He is in control. So...this chill guy wants to know... what's your word?

14.01.2022 Just as we remember the ANZACs and their sacrifices made for our freedom, we also acknowledge those of the Aboriginal communities who, in this land, fought for ...freedom with the hope of a shared opportunity for all Australians. 10.01.2022 Welcome to Carindale Salvos! We are so glad you are meeting with us today as we start a new series - Christmas Isn't Cancelled. Big Idea for the message today is - When Isaiah promised the birth of a saviour for the people of Israel, they didn’t know how long it would take to get the gift, but their hope endured.... Application: Like a child waiting for Christmas morning, the believer can be confident that in due time, what God gives will not disappoint. Bible reading from Isaiah 9:27.

07.01.2022 Welcome to Carindale Salvos Church!! We are delighted you are a joining with us this week as we make a return to our couch at church after our excursion last week. This week Mj Tim brings us a message based on Acts 2:42-47. This speaks about God adding to our numbers when we devote ourselves to the fundamentals that the early church did. Teaching (the scriptures), fellowship, breaking bread & prayer. ... The following 4 weeks will be spent unpacking each of those 4 fundamentals and how they tie in with discipleship/a disciple making culture. If we want to get back to church then let’s go all the way back! Please find the link to the reflection questions here - PDF - https://drive.google.com//13uFziGUiFuEea4qV9l1QcH3zh/view Word - https://drive.google.com//1h3Yw8XoG-Q70VKc6YtUeGdf5F/view We invite to reflect on these either by yourself, with a group or call/zoom someone and have a chat. Send us a message via @Carindalesalvos on Facebook if you would like to be put in contact with someone to chat to - we would love to hear from you. #simplify #churchonthecouch #carindalesalvos

01.01.2022 Welcome to Carindale Salvos Worship Gathering - Together! After 8 months of not gathering in person, Carindale Salvos is back TOGETHER as one family for worship. The location was at the Living Church on Creek Road - thankyou to the team at Living Church for all support in making this happen today!... Message Big Idea: When Paul wrote to the church at Ephesus he knew that their spiritual connection with each other would be what held them together. It would be this "togetherness" that would serve to multiply the impact of their effectiveness in carrying out the mission Jesus has called them to. Application: Today it is the measure of our spiritual togetherness that will help us to be effective in our mission of making disciples.
