President, Im so proud of everything we stand for and consider myself very lucky to lead such an outstanding footy club. I want to make special mention of the committee, in particular Rhett and Amy Williamson, Jerome Vallet and Matt Grant, who worked tirelessly to ensure Saturday nights fundraiser was a roaring success! Im so grateful for their efforts I also want to say thank you to our members and the wider community. The support has been overwhelming and means everything to my family and I. Darcy found his match recently and that wouldnt have been possible without every single one of you! The transplant process will be challenging but the $90,000 that was raised will assist with Darcys treatment and alleviate some of the pressure on Sam and Casey. 12.01.2022 IT HAPPENED.... guys it actually happened!!! We got the match weve been waiting for! Darcys transplant doctor confirmed yesterday we have stem cells from so...me cord blood! This is a huge relief and allows us to focus on the next step to recovery. It is impossible to express our gratitude for all of you who have rallied behind us and registered to be bone marrow donors, donated blood products and spread the word. As parents there is nothing more heart warming than people supporting your child. Especially in a time of need and the love we have felt wrapped around us and helped us as a family immensely. I spoke with the amazing Gina from lifeblood earlier today and she shared that there have been literally THOUSANDS of ABMDR registrations and new donors as a result of our Do it for Darcy campaign. This goes such a long way to supporting people all around the world and I am so proud of the community and awareness we have created. Please keep shouting our message! This is bigger than us! You can still save a life; someone elses child, mother, husband, brother This is not the end of the fight. Its really just the beginning. The transplant process will be challenging, but for right now lets focus on this win
