24.01.2022 Falls can hurt everyone and place a strain on families and the health system at large. April is #aprilfallsmonth and theres good evidence that a tailored, structured and paced strength program can significantly reduce the risk of falls and improve the strength and mobility of older Australians. This is now more important than ever #physiotherapy #fallsprevention # movewellstaywell Thanks to @physioaustralia

24.01.2022 Taking accountability for maintaining your strength and mobility in conjunction with your physiotherapy treatment program is something that we encourage. After our full assessment and advisement we recommend suitable patients add a yoga practice such as Aerial Yoga as an alternative to standard mat/gym classes. We are loving The Gravity Room newly opened in Caringbah. Tayla and her team are fully trained and ready to welcome you. This gorgeous space has been designed to work... with gravity through the practice of Aerial Yoga and traditional Vinyasa Flow Yoga to increase your flexibility, strength and mobility. Thanks for having us join you for a class Tayla! We loved it

24.01.2022 Is #homework giving you a pain in the #neck? So many of our patients are now working at home and as a result theyre suffering from neck, #back and #shoulder pain. 23.01.2022 Do you suffer from MS? Did you know that moderate exercise can help with many of the symptoms of MS and improve your overall health and wellbeing? Beryl our amazing 87 year old patient is a great example of how keeping active with MS can maintain mobility, function and allow you to live a full life. Diagnosed with MS in her 30's Beryl made it her life's mission to avoid the wheelchair her Doctors had indicated she would one day require. She hasn't stopped moving since. ... We are especially proud to tell you this story because this story belongs to our Director/Physiotherapist Briohny's amazing nana. See more

18.01.2022 Did you know that the health of males in most countries, including Australia, is generally poorer than that of females? Despite this, men are less likely to seek medical attention. Physiotherapists treat everything from musculoskeletal injuries to diabetes, heart disease and problems with the pelvic floor muscles - yes, men have them too! This #menshealthweek do yourself a favour and get a check up. #choosephysio #menshealth Thanks to Australian Physiotherapy Association

17.01.2022 Wishing you and your families a very Merry Christmas from all of us at Caringbah Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Centre. #choosephysio

17.01.2022 Busted#1 Theres a commonly held notion that having a scan will show the cause of your low back pain. The facts show that scans are only helpful for a small percentage of people. Its true that scans will show up problems like degeneration, disc protrusions and arthritis. But these problems will also show in people without any back pain at all. Therefore scans cant always predict your pain. Low back pain is the number one cause of disability worldwide so its always worthwhile getting expert assessment from a health professional and remember it shouldnt in the majority of cases need to involve scans.

16.01.2022 Did you know that a supervised programme of exercises from your #physiotherapist can prevent #falls and improve your #balance ? #aprilfallsmonth #movewellstaywell #australianphysiotherapyassociation @physioaustralia

14.01.2022 Get ready for an active weekend!!! Remember- doing something is better than nothing!!!! Our body likes to move and its probably the most natural thing for us to do Yes injuries can occur, but the cumulative effect of not doing enough exercise is very bad for us.....

14.01.2022 If youre copping #pain in the back when you move it doesnt always mean that youre doing damage. The pain you experience may in fact be related more to the sensitivity of your spinal structures and muscles. Pain is normal and generally will settle with time. What we do know is that #exercise is one of the best ways to manage pain. If youre in doubt, call us or go to our bio and book in! #physio # movewellstaywell #mythbusters @physioaustralia

04.01.2022 To our valued patients We know its an anxious time for a lot of our patients and those in the greater community. Caringbah Physiotherapy is taking the necessary precautions and following the latest recommendations from our professional body regarding COVID-19.... We are following all best practice measures to ensure we minimize any chances of transmission in our clinic. All surfaces in the exercise / pilates room, waiting area and physio rooms are being cleaned and disinfected after each session and treatment. We have advised all patients to please be mindful of any cold and flu symptoms and to postpone treatment if any illness should be present. If you have a fever, dry cough , fatigue or feel unwell , consult your doctor and dont come into the clinic. We have provided hand santiser in the rooms and at our reception area. Please make sure to make use of this on arrival and departure of the clinic. It is our priority to keep you safe and well during this time. 02.01.2022 BUSTED#3 Theres a myth that everyday loading and bending leads to backs wearing out. In fact in the same way that lifting weights makes our muscles stronger, movement and loading can actually make the back stronger and healthier. The key is to start gradually and practice regularly. #choosephysio #movewellstaywell Thsnks to @physioaustralia
