18.01.2022 Breeding with a dingo I always thought to be counter intuitive. Any that tried it generally came to the conclusion it was a failure. There will be some kelpie books that need to be rewritten now.

10.01.2022 S O L D P O M A N D A S H E P Seeking new employment opportunities. He is 17 months olds. He works well in the yards and shed. Should make a good truck dog but has only loaded not unloaded but pushes past and under in the yards. He backs and barks and has plenty of push. He is direct and narrow on cast but works a mob nicely from behind. He is obedient and very responsive. A very smart dog and works things out quickly. 07.01.2022 THOUGHT OF THE DAY -Cream kelpies I personally don't prefer cream dogs (because stock tend to draw onto them) but spending time droving sheep this morning with a black and tan (which works wide and bubbles out around her stock) and observing the reaction from the stock which is quite abrupt when she walks up to them grazing. A client purchased a cream dog from us a few years ago and made the comment that he wanted a cream dog for the long droves up at Commonwealth Hill. Originally I thought it was a bit odd but everyone to their own. This morning I can really see how on long droves a cream kelpie could be an advantage. The reaction stock have to a cream dog is less and would create calmer movement hence having stock walking without running. I could see how cream dogs could have a real place for droving stock.

06.01.2022 So either last night or this morning someone had some fun. I came out this morning to find the trough broom on the ground. It was on the ute. So someone threw it off the ute and had a chew. Has anyone else had dogs take or throw things off the ute?

04.01.2022 Freshly weaned lambs & 2 young, inexperienced dogs. This shows you how natural ability makes a world of difference. I can't pull these dogs off balance and I have to beg them to come off stock. Good distance and natural shepherding ability means you can get away with a lot. Notice how they also work their part of mob rather than both working the whole mob hence saving energy from over working.

03.01.2022 A D E L E S O L D Adele is a gentle paddock dog. She isn't real strong but very easy to handle. Doesn't have enough gears to move big mobs on her own but good with a vehicle.
