More fascinating research coming out and this summary paper mentioned by @mrjamesmaskell highlights the need for all of us to have better health everyday, as we know the sicker you are the worse C V might be, managed/resolved systemic inflammation and gut health (through endothelial tight junction function) all have a part to play in what we in naturopathic and functional medicine call ‘better health’.

Right now amongst all the groundhog days of chaos that are our weeks we have little family rituals that help us celebrate the wins... getting to FriYAY in a house with 3 businesses to run, my beautiful patients, 2 homeschool kids and all the blah feelings means Friday is the perfect day to celebrate getting through it all! Our ritual is The Winey Cow being delivered for a luxe Friday lunch. The Winey Cow are a local family we l...ove and their food ticks all our boxes! These are some of my favourite orders. Number 1 the Vegan Brekkie Bowl is by far the favourite, it is a of nutrition. Number 2 is a delicious Granola Bowl and number 3 is Miss 12’s favourite Eggs Norwegian. 16.01.2022 What Yamuna Said Yamuna Manoharan et al. wrote this letter to the Editor published in Indian Journal of Clinical Biochemistry in June 2020. While I agree further research is needed, the preventative and therapeutic action of supplemental Turmeric (Curcumin) is very actionable and low risk. ... Over to Yamuna Manoharan et al. ‘In line with the growing evidences of therapeutic properties of the curcumin, here we propose a hypothetical treatment strategy of using curcumin as (1) potential inhibitory agent blocking the host viral interaction (viral spike proteinACE2 receptor) at an entry site in humans and (2) as an attenuator via modulating the proinflammatory effects of Angiotensin II-AT1 receptor-signalling pathways reducing respiratory distress in the treatment of COVID19. Nutritional supplements of curcumin with vitamin C and zinc have showed promising results in boosting the natural immunity and protective defense against the CoV infections have been noted in many hospitalized patients in Indian setting. It is also noted that pharmacological formulation of curcumin in nanoemulsion system proved increased solubility and bioavailability and with enhanced antihypertensive effect [9]. Henceforth, it is clear that the biological properties including advance mode of drug delivery system of curcumin could be considered while formulating the pharmaceutical products and its application as preventive measure in the inhibition of transmission of SARS-COV2 infection among humans. However, further large scale clinical trials are warranted to understand the usefulness of curcumin for the pharmacological application in nanoemulsion system. 07.01.2022 After months & months of missing seeing you in person I will be taking my ugg boots off & heading back into clinic on Wednesdays from November 18th. Telehealth will continue for all other days. In person consults are best for those with health complaints or testing requirements that are best assessed in clinic.... By ensuring some consults still occur on Telehealth we can comply with our directive to perform Telehealth & work from home where possible. If you do require an in person consult you will need to call the clinic directly to organise this. All other consults can still be booked via the website.
