25.01.2022 The weather yesterday was intense but Emma & Chris were absolute legends, braving it out in the wet and cold with me. Emma had the best attitude - the weather is the only thing you can't control so just make the most of it. And that we did. @emmajayne2112 @marybrookemanor

23.01.2022 Today is a good day! I'm about as happy as I was in this photo why?... Weddings are back baby! I am so excited to have my camera in my hands again and be able to shoot weddings. Wow, hasn't this year been a crazy ride? With weddings allowing 100 guests from November 23rd I am very excited that my couples will be able to get to some normality soon. ... I've got a few elopements happening from now until the end of December and am looking forward to weddings returning to normal in 2021 What are you most excited about with the latest announcements?
23.01.2022 Firstly, congrats on your engagement! This is such an exciting time for you and your partner. I bet you’re deep into your wedding planning now (or hardly just started, who am I to judge?) and you’re wondering if you need to have an engagement photo session. There are a few reasons I recommend having an engagement photo shoot with your photographer, and I’ll walk you through them on this blog post https://bit.ly/3jgC9tt
23.01.2022 Youre not planning a wedding to prove your worthiness to your family, or to please your future in-laws cousin thats twice removed, or to be the biggest and most expensive wedding out of all your friends. Youre not getting married to send yourselves broke leaving you to draw out against your mortgage. Youre not having a wedding to get divorced in a year when theres less going on, and lifes not as exciting as it is now. Remember why youre getting married. ... Take a step back. Breathe. I want you to take a moment, right now and think of three things about your partner that you love. Write them on a piece of paper or in here in the comments below if you want. Remember why you fell in love with them. Remember the moment they asked you to marry them and relive those emotions for a minute. This is why youre planning your wedding. At the end of the day, the wedding itself isnt the reason youre planning your wedding. Youre doing this for the long-haul your marriage. So, invest in your marriage. If those around you are doing your head in, or you feel like theres too much pressure to have the perfect wedding, stop trying to please everyone else and do whats right for you and your partner. And most importantly, dont lose your line of communication with your partner, I hear about this happening too often during the wedding planning process. You need to remember why youre getting married, and whats important. Your marriage is whats important. What do you love about your partner? Can you remember the moment you realised you were in love with them? https://www.carleypayne.com.au/blog/remember-your-marriage/ See more

20.01.2022 Take me back to a month ago when weddings were a thing! Missing capturing love stories, but can't wait for all of this to be over and how hard everyone is going to party!!
20.01.2022 The news of the increased restrictions in VIC is now leading the second wave of wedding postponements. Please be assured that if you do need to postpone, I will endeavour to work with you to find a new suitable date. I've got your back through this. If you'd like to chat, please send me a message or email and we can run through options and potential new dates. At the end of this, we're all going to party so damn hard together! But we need to ensure that those we love are saf...e right now. Keep smiling, - Carley x.

But did you know that you have more options than just cancelling? 1. You can postpone to a later date. Just be sure to check with all your suppliers first before making any calls to ensure you can still keep your dream team. ... 2. Elope. 18.01.2022 - Amy & Shane "Carley was just what we needed for our wedding day. She listened to what we wanted to achieve and put that into action. Even though the day itself was pouring rain, she captured the mood of the party and helped everyone look relaxed in the photos. I would recommend Carley for any event. Her price point was great as well- fitted into our budget." Are you looking for the perfect wedding photographer? DM me and let's chat

14.01.2022 I can't believe how fast this year is going by already. Can you believe we're already half way through January?! This week has been a good one! I have been back on deck, replying to all the emails and enquiries over the break and working on a website makeover - it's a work in progress, but I'll keep you updated when it launches. Tomorrow is also my first wedding back for the year. So right now I'm getting all my gear ready for that. What’s been the highlight of this week/month for you?
13.01.2022 Ever wondered why wedding photographers are 'expensive'? I bet you have. First, Id like to start off by mentioning that wedding photography is not an expense, its an investment. An investment in your future and your memories. Once your day is done and dusted, your photographs (and potentially video if you got one) are going to be the only things left to help you to remember your wedding, and bring back every emotion you felt on your day. Once you unders...tand this, investing in a great wedding photographer is a no-brainer! There is so much more to wedding photography than just rocking up for a few hours, pushing a button repeatedly and randomly and then handing the images over. There is a massive amount of time spent behind the scenes, before and after the wedding day Read the full article on my website: https://www.carleypayne.com.au//wedding-photography-cost-/ See more
12.01.2022 More dogs in weddings please! Robyn & Brad tied the knot yesterday with their fur baby Mav by their side - along with the rest of their family & friends.
12.01.2022 Everyone has been affected by the covid19 pandemic in some way. My heart goes out to every single person who is facing hardships during this crazy era. But you know what, we are GOING to get THROUGH THIS. We will. The wedding industry has taken a massive hit over the last couple of months, and the follow-on effect will continue to damage the industry for months if not another year or two. This not only impacts suppliers and vendors but also couples planning their big day. Couples are still asking the big question should I postpone my wedding? The thing is, there is no right or wrong answer here, but I will walk you through some options available
11.01.2022 I have some really exciting news! A couple of months ago I found this really cool book called The Adventure Challenge and gave it to my partner for his birthday last month. What it is is a scratch-it book full of 50 date ideas. And once you scratch a date idea there are no backsies... you have to do it! The book also comes with a spot for a photo and message about your date - which is awesome for people like me with a horrible memory . So far we have done 4 dates (we do ...one each week) and it's been so good to break up the normal routine of Netflix, especially in this time of Covid. I also know how stressful planning a wedding can be and have heard from many brides in the past that they get to a point where all they do as a couple is fight and talk about the wedding stress. This is not how wedding planning should be. My response over the years has been to take a night off, have a date night and leave the wedding talk at home. Can you see where I'm going with this? Personally doing this challenge, I think it's an absolutely amazing product for every couple, no matter your age or how long you've been together for. So I've signed up to be an affiliate, yay! To get 10% off your order use this link: https://bit.ly/3fnhz9x or code CARLEY at checkout. I would share some of the awesome dates we've done so far but I don't want to ruin any of them for you! Let me know if you have any questions or if you've hear of The Adventure Challenge before?

10.01.2022 HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY On this Australia Day, I want to share with you one of my favourite places in this country, and one of my favourite landscape photos that Ive taken to date. 10.01.2022 Right now, I'm about as excited as my doggo Ed (pictured left) when he went on his first trip to the snow with Mark And Mya's Adventures Did you hear... restrictions are being eased! (Slightly anyway, but it's a start). 10 guests are now allowed at a wedding, plus the couple and their celebrant. And whilst the wedding industry (and the world) still has a long way to get back to any sort of normal, we can see the start of the finish line. ... 09.01.2022 VALENTINES DAY Yes, I think V-Day is overrated, and yes, its a Hallmark Holiday BUT its also a great excuse to put in that little bit of extra effort and show our loved ones that we care and appreciate them. 08.01.2022 This week has been especially full-on for both us suppliers and our couples who have been planning their weddings. My heart goes out to each and every one of you. Honestly, this all feels like a bit of a dream, it doesn't feel real. One moment everything is fine, and the next the world is literally falling apart around us. I've experienced similar feelings before when I lost someone very dear to me. I got through that, and know that as a community we can get throu...gh this too. But it won't be easy. Even though we will all be going through different situations and experiencing different emotions over the next few months, just remember we are all in this together. We need to support each other and pick each other up. I'm working hard with my current couples to find alternative dates for those that need to postpone. Please keep in mind that because most wedding vendors book 12 - 18 months in advance, your best chance of keeping your A-Team intact is to reschedule to a weekday. If you are thinking of rescheduling, reach out to me and we can work something out. I know these regulations seem very extreme, and has left a lot of you heart broken, but remember they have been put in place with your best interests at heart - to keep you and your loved ones safe. The quicker we implement this, the quicker we can contain it, and no one else has to die. Because that is literally the reality of this situation. When all this is over, I am so looking forward to capturing some beautiful moments for you. And hopefully, my photos will fill you with so much joy and love that you won't even remember the stress you're feeling right now. Just remember, I've got your back, and will always be completely honest and transparent. Let's beat this thing x.
08.01.2022 How did you meet your partner? Was it love at first sight? Or did they annoy you and push your buttons? Through Tinder or some completely random encounter? Id love to hear your story
06.01.2022 Quite often when I meet with couples they will be unsure if they want photos of the groom getting ready. To me, this is such an important part of your wedding day story and something that shouldn't be sacrificed. That's also one of the reasons I offer unlimited hours - so you don't need to choose between these memories and those later on in the day. I find that when there are no time constraints, the day can unfold naturally, and when you look back at your photos you can remember your wedding in its entirety.
06.01.2022 Confused about all your options for celebrants, venues, videographers or anyone else? Shoot me a pm and Ill send you my highly recommended suppliers list. They are all like me easy-going, friendly, dedicated and fun.
05.01.2022 Being previously called a photo ninja I can 100% relate to this quote by Diane Arbus. I think a big part of being a wedding photographer is capturing great photos unoticed. It's these candid shots that really tell the story of your wedding day truthfully. mmm now I want Oreos
04.01.2022 HAVE YOU HEARD? Of course, you have, it's all anyone is talking about. From June 1st... up to 20 people are allowed at weddings, plus the celebrant and couple. Woohoo!! Oh how I've missed picking up my camera on the weekends, capturing all the little details of each wedding, and capturing you hanging out with your nearest and dearest, living your best life and soaking up those sunsets with your hubby. I can't wait to be celebrating with you again soon!... As good as this news is (and the lifting of other restrictions too), we need to all do our part to stop the spread. And I know you've heard it all before, but we all need to still practice good personal hygiene and social distancing. If we all do our part, we'll be back to normal in no time. See more
04.01.2022 UPDATE Given the recent events, and the struggle we are all facing with COVID-19 I just wanted to take this time to check-in and let you know business is carrying on as usual. As per the current government regulations, all private events (such as weddings) under 500 people are fine to proceed - with the exception of travelling guests. ... In the event that these restrictions are tightened (which it does look like that will be the case), I can and will work with you to ensure that this period is as seamless as possible from my end. And will do everything within my power to ensure you still have an epic wedding, whether it's now or in the future! I am still looking forward to celebrating your weddings with you and capturing some amazing moments from your special day. This is uncharted territory for all of us, so we need to have each other's backs, use common sense and inspire human decency. Be kind to one another. And please remember to support small and local businesses during this time. For any couples who want to chat - I'm always here for you :) See more

02.01.2022 What a journey! Tomorrow's wedding between Hayley & Jeremy will be the 100th wedding I've had the pleasure of photographing. This milestone was supposed to happen back in March for another couple, but Rona had other plans. When I started photographing weddings 5 years ago, I didn't realise just how much my business would grow, or the number of amazing couples and vendors I would meet over the years.... I thank God every day for the blessings I've been given and I have to pinch myself as a reminder that this amazing life is real. Thank you to every single person I've worked with over the last 100 weddings - every person, client and supplier has had some impact on where I am today. And to the next 100 weddings - I can't wait! Let's bring it on

01.01.2022 This is my take on the guest list manager info graphics that you see online. Instead of worrying about if theyre someone youd normally buy dinner for, or if you think theyre going to get crazy drunk, or if your parents want them to come, just keep it simple. Do you agree?
01.01.2022 EXCITING NEWS I was recently approved through the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) as an accredited professional photographer, woohoo! This is something I had thought about applying for, for a while, and finally took the leap. What exactly does this mean? Explained straight from the AIPP website...... - You are working with a professional whose status has been formally validated and recognised. - You are working with a professional who you can trust. - You are working with a professional whose creativity is constantly pushed and developed. - You are working with a professional who is a member of the only recognised professional imaging membership body in Australia. - You are working with a professional who adheres to OUR required level of service and quality, a standard we set, regardless of the standards the professional sets for themselves. - You are working with a professional who has been through our accreditation process. - You are working with a professional who is bound by our Code of Professional Practice. Very excited to be a part of this fantastic group!
01.01.2022 The sun shone for Bec & Michael yesterday. They also chose to have a first look before the ceremony and it couldn't have gone better. Thanks for having me #bectakesthemickey @ The Baths Middle Brighton
