22.01.2022 Dear Families Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is starting again on 13 July 2020. If you were receiving CCS before 6 April 2020, it will automatically start again if youve stayed eligible and your enrolment is current and confirmed.... Follow these five steps to make sure youve stayed eligible and receive the right amount of CCS: 1. Give Centrelink your 202021 family income estimate to receive the correct CCS percentage and avoid an overpayment. 2. Check your activity hours to receive the correct amount of hours of CCS per fortnight*. 3. Make sure your child meets immunisation requirements. 4. Check your childs enrolment details are current with your child care service and re-enrol if you need to. 5. Confirm your income for 201819 if you havent already by 30 June 2020. *From 13 July 2020, the Australian Government is easing the activity test for CCS. This means you may be able to apply for extra activity hours if COVID-19 has affected you. There will be more information about how to do this in July. If youre new to child care, you should claim CCS as soon as possible. From 13 July 2020, youll pay full fees unless youre getting CCS. For more information, visit Services Australia. The Department of Education, Skills and Employment has created an information sheet for families about the transition arrangements for the end of the Early Childhood Education and Care Relief Package and the return to CCS.

16.01.2022 Dear families, We have an update for you in relation to Scott Morrison’s announcement yesterday. UPDATE: Free child care for all our enrolled families, effective Monday 6 April ... Families can now keep their bookings in place for free, even if your child is temporarily not currently attending your centre. This allows parents to hold their child’s place until the family is ready to re-commence care. This applies to all enrolled families, regardless if they are eligible for the child care subsidy (CCS) or not. We understand that early education services are vital for so many parents. As mentioned by the Prime Minister, children also need familiarity and continuity in this unsettling time. This relief package will help the sector and its employees make it to the other side of the crisis, ensuring that your child’s educators are looked after. Previous or existing families that would like to re-instate their bookings or increase their days, please email us on [email protected]

10.01.2022 DONT JUST UNENROL YOUR CHILDREN FROM THEIR EARLY EDUCATION AND CARE CENTRES PLEASE !!!! There is so much uncertainty in the world at the moment and so many people are losing their jobs, please dont add your child's educators to that list. We are NOT saying you should send them if you dont feel comfortable. What we are saying is DONT UNENROL THEM.... There are a number of things in place from the government to help families and to stop centres from going bankrupt but these measures are only helpful if the children STAY ENROLLED. Firstly, if you or your partner has lost their job or had your wages cut, you can go on to your mygov page and apply for temporary financial hardship. This means that the government will pay your childcare fees in FULL for 13 weeks. The government has also committed to paying the CCS portion of the fees in the event that the centres do go in to lock down. What this means for centres is that we can keep paying our educators, our rent, etc etc etc. It means that at the end of all of this, there will be centres to send your children to. Find out your options, BEFORE just pulling your children out. It will make the world of difference to our sector.

09.01.2022 Announced yesterday, for CCS : The Federal Government has relaxed childcare laws in a bid to help the sector respond to the coronavirus.... It also increased the number of days from 42 to 62 that a child is allowed to be absent without the need for evidence, like a medical certificate, without losing the subsidy.
