23.01.2022 Look who is joining us at KindiLink on Wednesday! It is Sheep on a Beach! We will continue on our water scenes and will be doing dot paintings on sea creatures.

22.01.2022 The children painted their little turtles today. They also enjoyed drawing with chalk on the footpath and more water play. We read the book ‘From Head to Toe’ by Eric Carle. This is a great book to get from your local library and to do all the actions. We will read it again next week.

20.01.2022 What a busy KindiLink room today! We had a great session with Leonie who visited from Ruth Faulkner Library to do singing and rhyme time and read a story to us! It was so much fun. See you next week.

19.01.2022 What a hot day! We enjoyed water play at KindiLink today. The children painted the path with water, splashed balls in the bucket and played with some water wheels. We also made little turtles out of salt dough which we will paint on Wednesday. We have reached full capacity at KindiLink this year and will not be taking any new enrolments.

17.01.2022 This was a fun game, opening the bottles to see the sea creatures hiding inside. You could try this at home. Keep your bottles and give them a wash. Find some interesting things to put inside. Talk about what they find, the name, colour, shape, sound....

14.01.2022 We focussed on oral language today with the game ‘I See Something...’ We also set up props from the book’Sheep on a Beach.

07.01.2022 How many sea creatures can your child name or recognise? Describe their shape, colour, body features and how they move. When your child is familiar with them you can play ‘I spy something that is.....’ Give clues and see if they can name or point to the sea creature. Use which ever language is most comfortable for you.

02.01.2022 Today we celebrated Aboriginal culture for NAIDOC week. We had Aboriginal symbols as prompts for painting on boomerangs and drawing in sand. We did dot paintings on sea creatures to fit with our ocean theme. We also enjoyed eating damper! Next week we will be making turtles out of salt dough so all children can have their own Tiny Tim.
