25.01.2022 I woke up this morning to find out that one of my all-time favourite chefs Anthony Bourdain is no longer with us due to suicide. I remember watching my very first episode of No Reservations for the very first time and I was hooked. I loved how his shows mix both the culinary and cultural aspects of the places he visited, as well as him sharing his own personal stories and experiences. ... And reminded us how something as simple as food could bring people together. Rest in peace chef you will be missed!

23.01.2022 Seasonal crumble with yoghurt sorbet. Just one of the wonderful desserts that Co-Op Dining serves, I was lucky enough to do a little taste test after the photo shoot. I wouldnt want such a wonderful dessert going to waste!

23.01.2022 Nothing is worse when you go out for a meal with family and friends and you get meal envy. This time around it was my turn, I ordered my usual chorizo as an entree and Im a die hard fan or chorizo served with a bit of goats feta cheese. But I was a bit envious when one of the crew ordered Scallops with sweet corn and torched lard di colonnata. The dish looked amazing and Im sure it tasted as good as it looked! 15.01.2022 I have yet to try snails and I have been told that they are delicacy in France. After seeing this video Im still keen to try them Im sure they taste just like chicken!

14.01.2022 The very first time I had duck many years ago lets just say the dish was a major disappointment. So I have always been trying out duck dishes ever since and this Twice cooked duck leg with black, Savoy cabbage and wild mushroom broth has to be the best duck dish I have ever had so far. I was very grateful to attend the launch of Matt Morans new cook book which was hosted by Boffins Books down at Petition Kitchen. 13.01.2022 I'm happy to finally be back in the kitchen after a short absence due to a busy work schedule. Today I'm making some pulled pork burgers and I'm tweaking the recipe just a little to suit my taste for a bit of spice. The pork shoulder is ready to go and it has been covered with a mixture of smoked paprika, dry mustard, sugar and salt. I'm using the pressure cooker to cook the pork shoulder so it shouldn't take to long to make! 11.01.2022 I recently bought a whole range of cast iron pots and pans from Lodge and had been looking for a scrubber to wash them down with. Something strong enough to get rid off any food stuck on the pots and pans but gentle enough to not take the seasoning away. So Im really happy I found this really cool Kamenoko Tawashi Scrubbers from Japan. They are made of natural palm fibre which makes them waterproof, durable and perfect for cleaning my Lodge cast iron pots and pans!

11.01.2022 Colonial Brewing Co in Margaret River has got some of the coolest looking lights I have seen in a venue, they are made up of empty Growler bottles. Coming across this photo has reminded me that I need to get my Growler Bottle refilled ASAP!

10.01.2022 So I finally got my wide angle and macro Moment lenses this month. I'm just blown away with both the build quality and how much difference they make when Im using the iPhone X while taking both video and photos. This image was taken using the macro lens at 2x magnification using the Moment photo app and edited in VSCO. In case you wondering, they are instant coffee granules.

Making a nice and hearty chicken soup which really hits the spot when Im hungry and the not so secret ingredient flat leave parsley or continental parsley as its also know by. I feel it really adds to the soup and it smells and tastes amazing!
