23.01.2022 Our players, under the guidance of Vinay Chattree and Manjo Sahare, have been playing excellent cricket in the Thunder Conference, Under 14 Division 2 (Sydney Junior Winter Cricket Comp). They won 3 out of 3 games to date, with one game abandoned due to rain. One more game to come. Bring it home! A comment from Manoj: "Excellent win for MYC boys..we score 6/149 in 20 overs and won by 45 runs. At one stage we were 3/13 in 4 overs but Avijay and Aneesh partnership of 101 runs t...ook us to 149. Avijay 71(49) Aneesh 30(32) Outstanding bowling from Yash- 4 overs 4/11 and quick 4 stumping and one catch from Aneesh. Well played team and hats off to the Coach for taking us through." The risk of transmission of COVID-19 is highest through saliva and this measure is in place to protect all participants and umpires. 23.01.2022 https://youtu.be/VJbLOt188yg Australian wicket keeper Alyssa Healy became our our club patron last year. She started off her cricket career as an Under 9 player with Carlingford Waratah Cricket Club. In this interview, she shared about how she fell into cricket and then fell into wicket keeping. At that time, the wicket keeping role was rotated among the players. She got hooked onto it and as an Under 9, she was asked to keep in an U11 game. From there on, all signs pointed ...to her being one of the best wicket keepers. Alyssa still has fond memories of her days with Carlingford Waratah. Recently, our club gifted Alyssa and her husband Mitchell Starc with our training t shirts. I hope they’ll like it. Registrar Lawrence

The program is much shorter than traditional cricket, with a maximum of 90 minutes playing time. ... We wish to thank the Northern District Cricket Association and Northern Cricket Union for making the season possible. We also wish to thank all volunteers involved this year. Without our volunteers, it would have been impossible to put the teams on the field. We are now halfway through the 2020/2021 season. Let's finish the season strong.
