20.01.2022 Round 7/8 7th round opponents on the weekend were the saints. Four very hard fought games saw the weekend finish 2 a piece. 2’s and 3’s getting the wins. Australia Day game was abandoned for the 2nd XI due to a wet outfield. All headed to the 1st XI game at Toorak park. ... Amazing game of cricket saw the blues just sneak home to cement the No.1 spot in the competition. Next up for Carlton is Northcote - 1’s/ 3’s are at home. #goblues

15.01.2022 Round 5 Essendon were the opponents for this round for the blues! Two wins, a loss and a tied game! Centuries for Nick Ross and Tom Smyth, backed up by a 5 wicket haul for Xavier Crone got the blues home comfortably in the 1st XI! ... Seconds looked comfortable in their chase of 189 with Potty 65 not out when a collapse saw them bowled out 12 runs short. Third XI secured a narrow victory which came down to the last ball. Sam Connop with 57 and Brayden Tracey typically slow 45 off 31. Plenty of drama in the 4XI, Tom Packer led the bowlers well with 3/33 restricting Essendon to 193. Young guns Sam Lowes 54 and Lachie Shinn-Mahoney 44 looked to be steering blues to victory. However middle order wickets fell consistently. Scores tied with 1 ball to go a runout off the last ball left both teams sharing the points! #goblues

13.01.2022 Round 10 Camberwell magpies were the opposition for the Blues in Rd 10. 3 wins and a tight loss in the 2nd XI were the results. Nick Ross (130*) and Tom Smyth (94) were the stars again for the 1’s. With Willo taking 3 wickets to help the boys secure the win. ... Second XI unfortunately came up short, after another good performance by the bowlers. Toddy took 3/41 and skipper Culvenor chipped in with 2/20. 3XI made 212 on the back of Abe Sheahan 50 (48) and Brayden Tracey 48. Bowlers all chipped into to secure a comfortable win. Trenwith 3/22 and Sean Morrow 2/27. 4XI managed to comfortably chase down the runs, Skipper Tim Line who loves running made 63 with only two boundaries. Youngster Hoffman made 47 on his debut for the blues. Next up for the blues is Frankston 1’s / 3’s Home. A big milestone is coming up for a legend of the club this week! 10.01.2022 Round 3 Tough weekend for Carlton against Footscray with the 1st XI the only side to come out with a win staying unbeaten for the season. Once again Stepien and Gulbis helped the 1st XI to a comfortable win with Stevo also chipping in with 3 wickets and Mckenna making 48*.... Pottabathini was the major contributor in the 2's with 91, Woods & Patrick both picked up 3 wickets. Liam Connop continued his good run of form with 67 in the 3rd XI loss. Last game before Christmas is against Greenvale with the 1's and 3's at home, 2's/4's playing away. #blues
