25.01.2022 This morning just before 8:00, a couple of teachers spotted a baby foxrunning across the school playground. It managed to find a quiet and safe spot to take a rest. Here he/she is under 6T's building. It's been a very exciting day for our students.

25.01.2022 Part 1: Carlton South introduced our Learning Powers into all classrooms this week. Our focus for the week has been Resilience. We have been focusing on what it means and how we can show resilience in school and our everyday life. There have been many great discussions, fun games and engaging books read to promote our first Learning Power.

24.01.2022 Congratulations to Miss Elyse McEwan and her partner Jack on the birth of their beautiful baby daughter Eden Michelle. Eden was born on Wednesday, February 10 weighing 3.49 kilograms, with a height of 49 centimetres. Miss McEwan and baby Eden are doing well and are now home. Great news Elyse and Jack! We can’t wait to meet Eden in person!

17.01.2022 Congratulations SRC who raised $1500 to support the students at St George Hospital (Childrens Ward). These funds were used to purchase iPads for the children, so they could still learn whilst in hospital. Our student leaders visited the hospital today to deliver them. Thanks Mrs Selina Tilling, Mrs Jenny Ferlazzo and Mrs Kate Weekley for coordinating this generous initiative.

17.01.2022 Thank you to everyone that enthusiastically participated in Pyjama Day last week. Year 6 raised an amazing $883! They were super excited that the money will go towards their Year 6 Farewell.

17.01.2022 Year 6 was welcomed back to school with a wonderful surprise! The students would like to thank the P&C for purchasing their Year 6 Leavers shirts. Also a big thank you to Fiorella Galardi for the wonderful design, which was a lovely personal touch by a Year 6 parent. They loved them!

15.01.2022 Students in 3/4C created this piece of art after learning about Indigenous art and how symbols give meaning. They looked at Indigenous symbols and what they meant, collected native leaves from the playground and created their own leaf art with symbols to tell their story. Miss Carton is very proud of her class!

The students have spent time creating a persuasive poster to persuade our community members to purchase and re home a duckling for $10 per duckling.
