09.01.2022 Please meet local artist Carly Marchment Supple Carly was involved in ArtWalk last year and found it to be great exposure and a wonderful opportunity to meet an...d work alongside other Artists and Businesses from the area. The thing Carly is most looking forward with ArtWalk 2020 is being able to share her work with the general public and seeing the response to her work. Connection is what it's all about and we could not agree more! Something many may not know about Carly is she has Degenerative Neuromuscular Disease called Muscular Dystrophy which affects her entire body. Carly is happy to share this and does not see it as the thing that holds her back but as the thing that has allowed her to follow this artistic journey. What this means as an artist is that her creative style of painting is directly related to the disease and what her body can handle and how she can control her movements and still achieve the desired outcome. Since ArtWalk last year Carly has opened her own Studio / Gallery @ The Gladstone Hub in the small Historical town of Gladstone. Carly now works as a full time artist and conducting Life Drawing Classes from the space also. These classes are where all her references come from with her nude paintings. We are so excited to have Carly back again this year to ArtWalk, you will be able to see her exhibition at The Hollow Store .
