22.01.2022 Stressful yet successful ! Carnarvon Speedway’s 2020 season has come to an end with the year’s presentation night held Saturday night at the club shed and the annual general meeting held the next day. The year that proved difficult started in early March, pausing for a global pandemic through the months of April and May and getting underway again in June. Our club being the last to race in the country prior to lockdown and one of the first to get back racing under tough rest...rictions. Six quality meets were held in total. Our season was well sent out with a bang as roughly 100 members, volunteers and sponsors joined us at the track for our trophy night. The frozen scene was set. Cheers to all the people who put so much effort into the food, beverages, awards, presentations, speeches, setup and cleanup! Our outgoing president Jace Kleenex spoke well and gave his 2020 review, we thanked all our amazing sponsors for sticking with us through the uncertainty - Independent Fuel Solutions, Pharmacy 777, Carnarvon Mitre 10, Als Liquor Store, Gascoyne Gold, Carnarvon Motor Group, Novus Glass Carnarvon, Shire of Carnarvon, Rio Tinto, Norwest Refrigeration plus our in-kind sponsors. The divisions points winners and place getters were announced. Congrats to all who made the podium! Comedy and special awards also given. A full list at the bottom of this writeup. The food was mint, drinks were flowing, great company present and we now look to resurface the shed floor after being torn apart. A special thanks to the Shark Bay crew for their support all year. Glad they all got to bed on time! Sunday the Clubs AGM was held. Cheers to all our outgoing committee members and volunteers and thankyou to all stepping up or shuffling positions for next year. 2021 executive committee President Julian Andreoli Vice Jace Kempton Secretary Amanda Sanderson Treasurer Cam Holla Season points winners: Juniors: 3rd Jacob Bell, 2nd - Jack Buzzard & David Andreoli, 1st Beau Morgan Street Stock 3rd Jace Kempton, 2nd Trent Lyall, 1st Barry Mason Production 3rd Dwayne Elliot, 2nd Tony Cotter, 1st Allan Harper Modified 3rd Kathyrn Harper, 2nd Glen Harper, 1st Jarrod rick Wingless 3rd Cathan Nondo, 2nd Cam Holla, 1st Owen De-Boni !! 06.01.2022 RACING THIS SATURDAY FROM 6PM!

05.01.2022 https://speedhive.mylaps.com/Events/1794256

01.01.2022 Firstly a shoutout to all volunteers and crew that make our meetings possible. To back it up today and get us racing is a huge effort! Thankyou for making today a success. Laurie Ladhams Memorial 2020 has been run and won by our own Jace Kempton. Saturday night was a washout so our focus shifted to racing the next morning. All cars were sent out to wheel pack a greasy track around 9.30 am. Conditions proved difficult as racing got underway but all drivers adapted well. The f...eature race started with a a reverse grid Le Man's style start. Barry Mason led the field into the first corner with a fast starting Kempton soon applying pressure for the lead. A dry-slick track made sure the action was hot. Riddick made most of last last night's rain and took to large puddles to cool down. Burton had a spin - Mason and a Lyall narrowly avoiding him. Come restart Kempton lead it the flag followed by a Slim Damon Lyall and fast finishing Lisa Ladhams & Trent Lyall. Again a huge thank you to all who stuck with us and made today so great! Cheers to the Sharkbay crew & other travelling drivers for your support. Cheers to Laurie
