03.01.2022 For 71 years, Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers has marked the beginning of spring in Queensland It’s one of our state’s most iconic festivals and is a vital ...tourism draw card for the Toowoomba region. Last year, it brought 160,000 people to town and pumped more than $20 million into the local economy. I want to thank the council and the team behind the event for working hard to ensure the event could still go ahead this year in a COVID safe way. With this continued funding deal and the support of fellow Queenslanders, this will make sure the Carnival’s buds keep blooming for many years to come.
