24.01.2022 Good morning Today is a new day. Our loving God has fresh mercies prepared for each of us as we face it.

24.01.2022 Even though we are on a well deserved break at the moment, our thoughts & prayers are with all those who have been affected by the recent bushfires, in our neig...hbourhood & further afield. Some of us will be back on board from this coming week. Call for further information, appointments or to find out how we can help. And even though Mt Barker has had rain overnight, please pray for rain to pour down on the areas that need it. See more

24.01.2022 Have you done the hard work of learning the additional skill of attunement, and it was helpful? I have seen this principle work in leadership teams, in mentorin...g, in marriages, in families, and in church. We were designed to need someone with us. Brené Brown has also used the concept of jumping into the well with someone to illustrate the power of empathy. Here's an excellent short animated video that worth checking out. https://youtu.be/1Evwgu369Jw

22.01.2022 Life doesn’t get easier when we turn our life and will over to Him but it does get better. Grateful today that we don’t have to be afraid nor do our hearts need... to be troubled because His peace is with and in us. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. John 14:27 ESV Have a wonderful week forever family! 20.01.2022 And don’t let a few bad months (basically all of 2020 so far ) trick you into thinking you have a bad life or life will continue to be bad

16.01.2022 "Solitude is the furnace of transformation. Without solitude, we remain victims of our society and continue to be entangled in the illusions of the false self. ...Jesus himself entered into this furnace. There he was tempted with the three compulsions of the world: to be relevant (turn stones into loaves), to be spectacular (throw yourself down), and to be powerful (I will give you all these kingdoms). There he affirmed God as the only source of his identity (you must worship the Lord your God and serve him alone). "Solitude is the place of the great struggle and the great encounterthe struggle against the compulsions of the false self, and the encounter with the loving God who offers himself as the substance of the new self." 16.01.2022 When you let fear run your life, your world gets small. Whether you want to start a new romantic relationship or change careers, you won't get to a better place in life if you choose to stay comfortable. Tune in to The Dr. Cloud Show at 1 p.m. PST today right here!

15.01.2022 I don’t know about you, but sometimes it is very encouraging to me to see in God’s word that there are really broken people who are in recovery too. God never w...asted their hurts and He won’t waste yours either. He uses our hurts to bring hope and comfort to others. who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. 2 Corinthians 1:4 NIV If you would like to begin your journey toward healing so that God can use your past for His glory, find a CR Group at www.celebraterecovery.com See more

15.01.2022 So how do you know if a person who’s broken your trust can actually be trusted again? Here is a helpful step. They express authentic concern about their negat...ive impact on you. If the person is the real thing, they will spend very little time on being defensive, how they didn’t really mean it, how you don’t understand, or how you’re part of the problem too. That’s useless, and it’s about them. Instead, they will authentically communicate that they screwed up and they hurt you, no excuses, and they will want to know how it impacted you. That is what functioning adults do. #brokentrust #relationships #relationalnutrients

14.01.2022 It’s helpful to know the difference between an anxiety attack and panic attack. I have a panic attack audio guide available for free on my app SWITCH that may help you in the moment when you start to feel the panic. You can download the app here: https://theswitch.app

13.01.2022 Hi everyone Over the past several years, we have heard from Christian leaders all over the globe: we feel ill-equipped to handle the issues of mental health ...in our churches and we need a simple program to help. Not only are the struggles of their congregations and communities growing, but many pastors and spiritual leaders themselves are facing increasing challenges in the area of their mental health. That’s why I’m excited to announce the launch of Churches That Heal: an all-new, digital resource designed to equip pastors and leaders with a biblical and psychologically-sound plan to handle issues of mental health in their churches while also guiding them on their own healing journey. This is something I’ve been developing for the better part of 18 months, and isn’t God’s timing remarkable? Learn more here: https://churchesthatheal.com/about/

13.01.2022 Who is planning to read The Four Loves this month?

13.01.2022 Truth without love is harshness; it gives us information but in such a way that we cannot really hear it. Love without truth is sentimentality; it supports and affirms us but keeps us in denial about our flaws.

12.01.2022 And do the same for yourself

12.01.2022 And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if... you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." Matthew 6:12, 14-15 The Good News: Forgiveness is a two way street with Him. If we forgive others, we will be forgiven.

09.01.2022 People who apologize quickly may act like they are sorry, but they're really leading someone on. They may say all the words, and some are taken in by their tears and "sorrow." but in reality, they are more sorry about getting caught.

04.01.2022 When Someone Responds to Your Boundaries with ANGER When you establish a new boundary with someone else, the most common form of resistance one gets is anger.... People who get angry at others for setting boundaries have a character problem. Self-centered, they think the world exists for them and their comfort. They see others as extensions of themselves. When they hear the word no, they have the same reaction a two-year-old has when deprived of something . . . Read the post - https://www.boundariesbooks.com//when-someone-responds-to/ #BOUNDARIES

02.01.2022 Just a little reminder- you may not be able to control the events and circumstances of life but you can control your reactions! (Image repost @tastyyummies)
