25.01.2022 The first day of school is Wednesday 27th January 2021. The school gates will be open from 8am and classrooms will be open from 8:15am. We ask that you work with the COVID-19 management plan of the school. Information relating to processes will be outlined on posters around the school and in front of classrooms. We ask that our new Prep students and their parents are to wait at the school hall to be escorted to their classroom from 8am. We will have staff lead small groups ...to the classroom so that we can manage social distancing and also allow a smooth transition for both student and parent/s. For all other adults on site, we ask that you continue to work with the school’s COVID-19 management plan. We request that you adhere to social distancing requirements. If you are assisting your child with first day transition back to school, you are allowed to go to classrooms from 8:15am and you will be required to sign in at the classroom. If you do need to visit our office, we have a two adult limit in the waiting area of the office. Please work with the plan and requirements. Hand sanitizer will be available around the school. We look forward to welcoming parents and carers to our school for the start of the school year. 24.01.2022 Last School Day 2020 Wednesday 9th December (Tomorrow) Dear Parents / Caregivers, Tomorrow Wednesday 9th December 2020 is the last day of the 2020 school year. ... The Queensland Government earlier this year announced that the last two days of the school year, Thursday 10th and Friday 11th December 2020, will be student free days and schools will be closed on these days. This has been done in recognition of the efforts of school-based staff during the COVID-19 health pandemic. Thank you to the whole school community for the patience, understanding and respect that you have shown our school staff this year. I thank you for supporting us and your children during the lock down phase in Term 2 and for your ongoing support engaging back into school for the last semester. 07.01.2022 3 Day School Closure: As a result, the Premier has today announced that Greater Brisbane will be entering a 3-day lockdown, from 5pm tonight until 5pm Thursday 1 April for residents in the local government areas of Brisbane, Ipswich, Moreton, Logan and Redlands. Our school will therefore be closed for a three-day period from Tuesday 30 March 2021. ... At present the school will reopen after the Easter School holidays on Monday 19 April 2021. During this 3-day period, the school will however remain open for vulnerable children and children of essential workers. We kindly ask all parents who can keep their children at home to do so. The followi...ng restrictions will be in place for two weeks until 12 noon on Thursday 15 April 2021: You must continue to carry a mask with you whenever you leave home, and wear it in indoor venues Hospitality venues can open for seated eating and drinking only, and no dancing is allowed Private gatherings are restricted to 30 people Businesses can re-open with one person per 2m Outdoor events can go ahead with a COVID-safe plan, but masks must be worn if social distancing isn’t possible Church services will be allowed 100% occupancy with ticketed or allocated seating or adhering to the one per 2m rule Restrictions on aged care, hospitals, disability care and correctional facilities will apply with no personal visitors allowed during this period.
