24.01.2022 This semester our year 9/10 Dance classes were lucky enough to have 2 teachers from Bom Funk Dance Studio teach us a musical theatre mashup routine with different musicals - Singing in the Rain, High School Musical, Anastasia and Hamilton. We would like to express a big thank you to Jamiee and Shekiralea for working with us for this workshop. I think this helped both dance classes come closer together and build on our teamwork and consideration for one another. Thank you also to Mrs Hoolihan for creating such a wonderful opportunity for our students!
24.01.2022 Planning a trip these school holidays? With active cases of COVID-19 in other jurisdictions, why not stay local? Theres so much to see and do in our region. ...Check out some ideas from our friends at Visit Canberra. If you do travel, go to the ACT Government's COVID-19 website for the latest info: www.covid19.act.gov.au/travel. Outbreaks are still occurring and you should monitor the health advice right up until your travel date. With no vaccine for COVID-19, the best way to protect ourselves and others is still: - physical distancing - good hand and respiratory hygiene - staying home if youre unwell - getting tested if you have COVID-19 symptoms, no matter how mild. Weve come this far - do your part in keeping the ACT safe and strong.
24.01.2022 LSU K and LSU V enjoyed a fantastic trip to the National Dinosaur Museum yesterday. The whole museum was closed to the public and the dinosaur sounds were turned off to reduce sensory overload. This meant that our could have a personalised tour and ask the questions important to them!

15.01.2022 In Week 5 in Outdoor Education, we went mountain biking from school to Isaacs Ridge. Being outdoors is not only good for your physical health but your mental health as well. It can be a positive distraction from everyday stresses. Fresh air gives you more energy and natural sunlight gives you vitamin D and is relaxing. You are able to focus on whats around you and learn about different things outdoors. Being in nature helps with your eyesight as you can see things close up and from a distance. You can focus on your breathing and heart rate which can also help improve your mental and physical health. (Written By Keira Mitchell, Yr 10)
