02.01.2022 In my painting process, I always embrace the unknown. Just before starting a new work, the only certainty I have is my choice of one or two colours. Colours are my visual memories: They remind me a place, a plant or just a moment in my life. The process of applying layers after layers of colours is very calming to me and I keep on painting using either transparent or opaque colours to reveal or hide parts of the composition waiting for this very special moment to happen... th...is special moment in time when the painting gives you more than yourself...when the dialogue starts with your own work. I named this painting Clair-obscur as it felt like the light started to shift when I applied the last layer of black. .
