24.01.2022 COVID-19 continues to challenge all of us. Last Thursday, the College took the precautionary measure of closing so that an infection control clean could take place over the weekend and today. At this stage the College aims to reopen on Monday, 10 August to Year 11 and 12 students and to those undertaking Unit 1 & 2 subjects. Students who have parents in essential occupations and are required to be onsite can continue to do so. This is not where we would like to be, but the h...ealth and safety of our students and staff is paramount. Thank you to everyone in our community for their continued support. Please remember to look after one another as we work through this phase. Families are reminded to please check Compass for regular updates and students are encouraged to refer to the Remote Learning Guide. We understand this is a difficult time for many in our community. However, we are reminded each day that we are stronger together and through our strength in spirit, we will get through this.

19.01.2022 Over the term break, a group of students had an amazing hands on experience with Mushroom Creative Houses ON TRACK program. They got an exclusive opportunity to get up close with some of Australias leading DJs, artists and music makers. Its safe to say we now have a few budding music makers ourselves! A special out to the L2R Dance Crew and DJs Mantra and Rojdar for sharing their expertise and talent.
18.01.2022 Today we had a guest speaker talk to our second year VET Music students. Kye is a Melbourne-based singer / songwriter who tuned in on Zoom while the class tuned in on Teams. Students were really engaged and asked some fantastic questions about the music industry: getting over nerves, how to talk to the audience, what other careers are there for non-performers, and how to convince parents that they want to be a musician. It was a really fantastic lesson. Thanks Kye! 16.01.2022 This week Year 11 Drama students presented their first SAC performances remotely using Australia as inspiration. Their performances were based on the idea of The Tourists, where a bus-load of holidaymakers break down and find themselves stuck at the Seriously Wacky and Mostly Pleasant (SWAMP) Campgrounds. Applying the conventions of caricature, students created some hilarious scenes towards their major production next term. Here are some great screenshots.

07.01.2022 In Flanders Fields BY JOHN MCCRAE In Flanders fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row,... That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below. We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved, and now we lie, In Flanders fields. Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields. #RememberanceDay2020
