It could be as soon as tomorrow if I am available. 2: When we chat initially we can discuss what platform to carry out or session on. Zoom? FaceTime? 16.01.2022 Feeling ALONE and ISOLATED? These are feelings I’ve had lately so I’m sure many of you have also. We’re deep into restrictions and it’s testing times for our resilience. What are my best 3 tips to combat prickliness with the kids and depression for sufferers? 1. Time alone doing something you love. Reading? Stretching? Walk? Play keyboard? An hour minimum please ! 2. Walk or sit with a girlfriend and just download. No small talk (you might want to warn her first!). Get stra...ight to the D&M. 3. Do something completely different for the afternoon! Purchase clay and build, don a Winter wettie on and go an ocean dip, ask a neighbor if you can walk their dog. Break down the comfort zone a little and your headspace will feel uplifted. A big problem right now is boredom and lack of stimulation. For big people & little! Keep the mind stimulated in small ways. It’ll get you to the finish line of this round of lockdown. 12.01.2022 ... DEEP BREATHING I have been reading about different deep breathing techniques lately and this morning was the perfect chance to put some to the test. After sending my son off to school I realised I was too tense and anxious to begin anything and get on with my day. Some self-defeating thoughts were creeping in. ... So I made myself comfortable on pillows on the floor and began. *I did 15mins of in and out breaths, to counts of 5. Sometimes holding my breath for 5 counts. I also played peaceful zen music very softly in the background. It definitely worked, I am centered now and feel looser in my chest (which is where we hold anxiety), and more positive in my mind. Not stuck anyway, like I was half an hour ago! It’s worth trying. And different time frames & rhythms apparently work for each person. I highly recommend deep breathing each morning!!
