25.01.2022 Tip: While we don’t deliberately apply hair products to our face, the residue can often end up there anyway, which isn’t great for your skin. So the next time you use hairspray, cover your face with a clean towel to protect your skin. (just another heads up, hairspray isn’t great for your jewellery either!)

22.01.2022 Did you know that lack of sleep causes the stress hormone cortisol to be released, which in turn may encourage inflammation in the skin, potentially causing flare-ups for people prone to skin conditions such as acne, psoriasis, and eczema? 04.01.2022 I thought I’d share part of my skincare routine with you. I only ever cleanse my skin at night. I believe that less is more when it comes to skincare and if your evening skin care routine is done properly, I don’t feel there is any need to cleanse in the morning. I simply splash my face with cold water (I’ve done this since I was a teenager), then apply my cream. Over cleansing may cause irritated, inflamed and sensitive skin conditions to worsen. 03.01.2022 What is Benzoin? It is super star ingredient. Seriously. I can’t sing the praises of this wonder ingredient enough. Benzoin resin has a warm, sweet aroma similar to vanilla, is golden brown in colour and harvested from the trunk of the Styrax tree. Otherwise known as Styrax Benzoin, Gum Benzoin, or sometimes even Benjamin. It has been used for centuries by ancient civilisations for its medicinal properties. In fact, it was (and still is) used in incense as a way to fumiga...te homes to ward off sickness due to its powerful anti-bacterial and purifying properties. It is also has antiseptic, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory and anti-histamine properties.
