24.01.2022 If not for Covid-19 Glenmorgan Art Group members would be spending today putting the finishing touches to our 50 Year celebration exhibition 2020 Vision and pre...paring for tonight’s opening. The three foundation members still creating with the group, Carol McCormack, Jane Bridle and Penny Murphy, along with other current and past members would be excited and nervous about this milestone celebration. Instead we keep painting in preparation for a postponed 2020 Vision in 2021! Watch out for the new dates. We look forward to celebrating with you when the time is right. See more

20.01.2022 Excuse me for going on about it, but the last twelve months we've been dished up a real Australian weather smorgasbord, droughts, floods and fires. Recently we left our slowly greening landscape and did a road trip south to visit rellies and tick a box on my wish list - to experience the Snowy area in summer - not quite the right year for it, but so glad we went and still reeling at the extent of the fires. We drove for more than 2 hours down a recently re-opened road with n...o let-up from the charred landscape. The starkly beautiful hues of burnt eucalypts were enhanced by the rain - reminding me of Dorothy Gordon, so many years ago, throwing a bucket of water over summer-peeling trunks to demonstrate the intensity of their colours to her wannabe artist friends. The paintings are still coming, these little watercolour sketches will remind me... NB the touch of green in #3, our eucalypts are fantastically resilient, but it will take a long time for the forest to regenerate. See more

19.01.2022 CAN YOU HELP? Dorothea chose apt words, we live in and love a land of droughts and flooding rains. Right now it looks like we’re shaping up to another dose of heat and high winds and all that they are forecast to bring to our hot dry thirsty land this coming weekend. Can you help in a small way? This time I want to donate to a selection of charities helping with all aspects of the terrible fires, so on my website www.carolmccormack.com.au/gallery.htm I’ve selected a group of... paintings priced around $500, some are in the pic below. Just scroll down the website gallery paintings to see the ones marked FIRE SALE in red. It would be wonderful if you could join me to make a small difference where it’s needed. If you would like one of these paintings, reply to this post or message me. I’ll bring the price down to $400 ea and I’ll donate 100% of that amount to help people and wildlife affected by fire through your choice of these charities: Rural Fire Service, Blazeaid, Birdlife Australia, Givit, Vinnies, Red Cross, Salvation Army, Koalas in Care, Wires Wildlife Rescue OR YOU MAKE ANOTHER SUGGESTION. Then deposit the amount to my bank account and nominate your choice of charity (or I will allocate). When I’ve donated I’ll send you a screen shot of the confirmation. We’ll work out delivery details later. Oh, and if you are interested in purchasing any other painting/s on my website, I’ll donate 10% of the proceeds in the same way. Below are images of just some of the paintings on offer. See more
