21.01.2022 A bit about me. I live in a tiny house on wheels! Its still pretty new and a work in progress but I love it! I'm still in the process of thinning out my belongings and finding new homes for all the stuff I've collected over the years but I'm almost there. Memorabilia is my downfall! I still have so many children's drawings and paintings, some over 30 years old! I'd like to say I got memorabilia down to a shoe box full but its actually a big blanket box full. There are some treasures I just can't part with!

These face and body wash cloths are so much prettier than the old fashioned flannel face washers I grew up with, and so much better for the planet than the modern disposable wipes! The top is beautiful patterned cotton fabric and the bottom is cotton toweling. I make them all myself to the highest quality. 12.01.2022 So why are cloth pads so expensive? Well reusable pads may seem expensive at first, but they really are an investment that will save you money in the long run. Imagine if you had to purchase all 10,000 disposable pads you are likely to use all at one time! That is a lot of money, literally thrown away! Most reusable pads are said to last 4 years but many women are still using pads they’ve had for 10 years or more so I guess it depends on your personal perspective of how worn... something needs to be before you replace it. Another reason reusable pads can seem expensive is that they are often handmade or made under ethical conditions meaning that the sewer is paid a living wage. I suspect that as the market for cloth pads grows more and more cheaper options will appear but its important to remember that cheap pads means cheap/slave labour conditions. Money speaks, so use your dollar to speak up for the world you want to see. I would hate to see the cloth pad industry aligned with the fast fashion industry, let’s not let that happen ladies!
