23.01.2022 Hello Friends, I have been quiet of late. Busy, as I am sure you are too. Those of you who are expecting treasures will be pleased to see your leaves arrive in ...the next few days. They are currently blowing your way on the breeze. I have selected the leaves I thought would suit you best, but I am one of those people who MUST choose my own so if what you receive isn't quite righttoo big, too small, chain too long etc., please call me so we can find the perfect thing. Of course, I would love to see happy snaps of you wearing them. Please post them to facebook tagged @carolynbarkerjewellery, or instagram @carolynbarkerjewellery #carolynbarkerjewellery, so we can all delight in beautiful you. If you have any troubles email them to me and I will help: carolyn @cbjewellery.com.au The remaining leaves are currently on display in Caloundra, before heading back to Brisbane later this month. From there they will divide between retailers, in particular Wood Paper Silk in Sydney, and Fio Contemporary in Brisbane. Many thanks again for your help in this crazy little adventure. I felt deeply honoured by your enthusiasm for the project and my work. You have taught me a great deal. With love, Carolyn

16.01.2022 Big thanks to Jenny Birch of Jewellery World.

14.01.2022 It was great to have so many friends together looking fabulous in their jewellery at the show last Saturday. Many regulars, some new faces and few very special ...old friends. Thanks too to all of you who sent notes of well wishes but were unable to make it. I had a lovely day and trust you all did too. Here are some photos. If you would like high res shots of the ones of you let me know. To my surprise quite a few of you managed to get away with out being caught on camera. If you are not here but did get snapped don't fret there will be another batch shortly.

14.01.2022 Postcards. So much to love. Thanks to the talented Elizabeth Warning, Jo Hoban, GUN for HIRE, Mindi Cooke and Catherine Batch for the fabulous photographs.... And to the super team at Qld Trade Print. It is fabulous to have found printers that care about their eco footprint in these days of toxic dyes and plastic coatings.

04.01.2022 Yay! Inside cover of Redland Art Gallery's 2015 event catalogue. Thank you Dominique and team. I will be exhibiting new work and a few old favourites at the Gal...lery, 23 August - 4 October. Background photo by Liz Warning.

03.01.2022 Mid February, at that moment when I was feeling the idea of crowdfunding was rather ambitious, I came across Amanda Palmer's Ukulele Anthem. To her delight she ...had been gifted an 8 string ukulele by Eddie Vedder, and her post to this end prompted me to listen to her anthem. http://amandapalmer.net/blog/20140209/ We have a bunch of inspiring friends in Alice Springs who play and Margaret Carew sent us her rendition of 'Autumn Leaves' to help cheer me along. Ben Foley has combined it with installation shots taken by Kat Barker Not having a very music brain if it was not for crowdfunding I would not know of Amanda, and likewise if it wasn't for Amanda it is highly likely I would not know of crowdfunding. So my thanks go to her, and to all of you for your support in this adventure. I hope to see you all on the 5th. xx

01.01.2022 Sharna Cansdell received her opal pendant this morning with appropriate delight. It is a wonderful moment when you see the object you have made on its owner for... the first time. Black opal, pink and blue sapphire, topaz and peridot, set in embossed gold and shibuichi. Thank you Sharna.
