22.01.2022 Anyone who offers a Community Rideshare Ride to a #ShutinSenior might be in a minority but they can't be accused of Ageism, which Jane Caro rightly calls out as being rife in Australian society. But the minority is growing and we are ALL the better for it.

05.01.2022 Ageism is at the heart of our top stories in this issue Seniors Transportation Weekly. Ageism is being recognized as being influential in how some societies treat their elders sometimes forcing them to lives of loneliness and depression. It's something The CarPal Team's volunteers strive everyday to overcome. THANK YOU.

05.01.2022 Our elderly don't deserve to be treated this way. Some sober reading on how our elderly are being abused often in their homes. It includes the following excerpt: "In over 90 percent of elder abuse cases the perpetrator was a family member. For two out of three callers, this family member was their adult son (39 percent) or daughter (28 percent)." It is hard not to conclude, Australia, we have a real problem in the way we treat our elders in their declining years.

04.01.2022 Seniors Transportation Weekly's lead article covers the effect of COVID on older women and its implications for our society.
