25.01.2022 Really proud of this woman of God, who never ceases to make the most of every opportunity! A call a 6:30am to pick up excess food - and we didn’t have our food program running today, so instead she took it to the another community group that makes up FREE meals for people. Sikh Volunteers - you are an inspiration!

25.01.2022 So Jaci made up these messy church kits, with kind donations from Bunnings Hastings to make up plant kits and other bits n pieces!

16.01.2022 Hi, we are looking at running a Cert IV in Community Services in June from Carrum Downs, if your interested let me know, Mid June start time.

15.01.2022 Today is Pancake Day also known as Shrove Tuesday, a traditional day of feast before the start of Lent on Ash Wednesday Shrove Tuesday is always 47 days before Easter Sunday, so the date varies from year to year falling between the 3rd of February and 9th of March. On Shrove Tuesday people traditionally cooked and ate pancakes, the reason for this was to use up foods such as fat, eggs and milk before Lent - Sounds good to us!

15.01.2022 Love your local community? got spare time? You may consider spending some time with us volunteering.

07.01.2022 The 2021 Self Denial series [filmed before the COVID-19 pandemic swept across the world] shows how Salvation Army corps and programs are transforming lives and communities. In this year's Self-Denial program we travel from South America to Asia, Europe to Africa to focus on four stories a children’s ministry program in the favelas of Brazil; a ‘self-help’ group initiative in India that teaches business skills to women; a corps program in the Ukraine that is transforming the... future of young people through caring support and teaching life skills; and we revisit a project in South Africa [from the 2019 appeal] where clean water has changed the lives of thousands of people. Throughout the series we will reflect on Romans 12:2, which encourages us to not conform to this world, but be transformed by God’s will his good, pleasing and perfect will. The world is uncertain, but we can focus on the transforming power of God as seen in these four Self-Denial program stories. https://youtu.be/zSx3qjCzjNw

07.01.2022 We have a wonderful partnership with Impact realty group, With the Community Giving Tree. *A little about how it started: the foundation was established to support families in our local community who would otherwise go without at Christmas time. Christmas is such a special time of year, it brings joy and excitement and should be celebrated by every family, not just those who are financially able. Unfortunately, this time of year can bring stress and anxiety to families who c...ompare themselves to others who are able to provide endless amounts of presents. * "Some families only wish for a single gift to give their loved one/s.If you are a person, a family, a business or someone who wishes to remain anonymous and are able to contribute in anyway, we would be forever grateful. Every $60 we receive equates to a family (2 Adults, 1 Child) receiving a present from Santa and a food hamper to celebrate Christmas day." https://gf.me/u/y6w9ya

06.01.2022 Finally the news we have all be waiting for. Church will be returning this Sunday at 10am. Everyone is invited to attend our Christmas services (attached is a flyer) ... There are a few things to keep in mind when coming back to face to face worship: 1. The time for worship is restricted to 90 minutes. Attendees are not to gather before or after services and are to leave promptly at the completion of the service. We ask that you do not arrive prior to 9:45am and that if you wish to catch up with each other after the service, you organise to do this at a different location. The premises will need to be vacated by 11:30am 2. Everyone will be required to sign in and sanitise hands upon arrival. 3. Social distancing of 1.5 metres must be maintained. 4. Facemasks are required to be worn throughout the whole service. Congregational singing is permitted, but masks must remain in place. 5. No food is to be shared, either inside or outside, at any Corps facility for any permitted activity, therefore, morning tea is not permitted during or after gathered worship. These are the requirements that we need to meet for worship. God is still moving and I look forward to seeing everyone at Worship on Sunday Blessings
