23.01.2022 For some of you at the Gala Dinner and Charity Auction you had a moment like this when John X yelled out Sold! after your winning bid! For some of those who won you managed to be able to take your goodies home on the night. But others partied on into the wee hours until your fantastic purchase was the last thing on your mind. Fear not though because tomorrow night we will be reconciling all the uncollected prizes and contacting the owners for pick up/deliveries! ... We will be in touch!

22.01.2022 We spend around 40 per cent of our time at work so we’re in a great position to notice if a colleague is behaving differently or doesn’t seem their usual self. ...If you’re concerned about someone reach out and start a conversation. Talking about mental health in the workplace can help to smash the stigma and break down help-seeking barriers. When planning a conversation, think about the most appropriate time and place. Approach your work mate, try to understand their situation and encourage them to seek support. Just by being supportive and listening, you’re helping to make a difference. Likewise, if you’re going through a tough time it’s important to reach out. While it’s not a colleague’s role to diagnose depression, anxiety or a related condition, they can play an important part in helping the person get the support they need. For tips and advice on what to say to someone you’re concerned about, or to learn more about the signs and symptoms of depression and anxiety, visit bb.org.au/1PLI3N1 #HeadsUpAU

21.01.2022 We can imagine these will be high on the list for Bernie! Would match our golf Custom Golf Bags Australia bags very nicely indeed!

19.01.2022 And with a classic 7 metre bending putt... An epic journey ends! 18 months of planning, 83 golf courses, 1005 holes, 40 plus events, 4 islands, 4000+ kilometres, 100+ media interviews, 100's of social media posts, an average workload of 19 hours per day for 28 days straight, and most importantly 1000's of great Tasmanians met. This tour was not about golf, it was about showing people living with depression and anxiety how much they are cared about. It was about taking a s...mall step forward towards breaking down the negative stigma that is wrongly attached to mental illness. And it is about raising money for beyondblue to provide professional services that people in need require and deserve. (If you would like to donate go to https://give.everydayhero.com/au/carts-fore-a-cause ) And wow... Did the people of Tasmania (and Mainland Australia) show how much they care! Sponsorships, BBQ's, raffles, auctions, golf days, billeting, inspirational speeches, speaking out, waves, cheers, toots, shocked faces, massive smiles, cuddles, tears, donations and more! The Carts FORE a Cause Team is not 4, 5, 6 or 7 people... It is the culmination of 1000's of people uniting in support of their fellow friends, families and even people they do not know who live with depression and anxiety. This journey can not be fully explained in words. But one thing we can tell you is that during a time in which we sometimes question our general sense of community and belonging, you can rest assured that our wonderful State is filled with giving and caring people that are out there doing all they can to provide safe, respectful and loving environments. So if you are going through a tough time of your own don't feel alone! You are loved and you are cared for. Seek the support and help you deserve by leaning on one of the many great people around you that really do care and will jump to your aid. And/or take the time to visit https://www.beyondblue.org.au. Jeff Kennett put it perfectly at our Ultimate Tasmanian Charity Event when he said "To look after those important to us, we must firstly commit to looking after ourselves." This journey has been a privilege. Our hope is that it has and will continue to provide a positive contribution to creating awareness, generating meaningful conversations and breaking down the negative stigmas attached to mental illness by showing how much WE CARE!

12.01.2022 Possible cancelation Book your tickets at www.hobarttickets.com.au Dear All. Due to moderate ticket sales this important event that will raise awareness and funds for people living with depression and anxiety is in danger of being cancelled. So you don't have 10 goers for a table? No worries, you don't need to organise a full table to have a great night and make a difference to the lives of others. This journey has been about getting out of comfort zones and generating ...new conversations with new people. So your workplace won't pay for a table? Well if you think this is a great cause don't let that stop you from attending. So $180 seems a lot? Then have a think about the value on offer... 3 course formal dinner, 5 hour beverage package, Jeff Kennett attending as a guest speaker, Peter Gee as MC, Detour performing live, major auction including a JMC Suzuki GLX, Lewis Marine Cruise Craft, EZ Go Golf Carts, ABR Cage Trailers and more. And most importantly every person that attends provides further evidence to people living with depression and anxiety that WE CARE. Come on Tassie, we need your help. Let's not let this opportunity to contribute to creating awareness, breaking down negative stigma's and generating conversations about depression and anxiety slip! Book at www.hobarttickets.com.au

08.01.2022 How cool it has been to see our final hole birdie photo reach 8343 people and get 17 shares and 162 likes. But here's a challenge for you all and probably the first time we have really asked you to dig deep to help us raise as much as possible for beyondblue. So here it is. We want you to like this post and share it with as many friends as possible. Then we'd like you head to our everydayhero page and make a donation. You can find it at ... https://give.everydayhero.com/au/carts-fore-a-cause It doesn't have to be a huge donation, if everyone who was reached by the original post gave just $10 we'd have all raised an extra $83430!!! With a week to go before tally up please get behind us

08.01.2022 What an incredible way to round out the Carts FORE a Cause journey. A huge thank you goes to Phillip Fuglsang, Erin Bumford, Alyssa Small, Ellie Mathyssen, Peter Gee, John X, Detour, auction prize providers... and everyone that attended! We estimate funds raised by this event will exceed $20,000... And how special it was to hear the Hon Jeff Kennett (founder of beyondblue) again pledge that all funds raised will be used to benefit people living with depression and anxiety in our own beautiful State, Tasmania! The Carts FORE a Cause Gala Dinner... Another important little step towards 'Normalising' depression and anxiety by showing WE CARE!

01.01.2022 There seems to be a little bit of a perception that the Murraville Dunalley Golf Club was destroyed in the bushfires and is no more. Well nothing could be further from the truth! Follow the signs from the main road and you'll find a perfectly intact clubhouse and a picturesque 9 hole golf course. It's sponsored on a couple of holes by our good mates Nick White at the Tasmania Pro Shop and Johhny Howard at Eye Spy Signs! Get down there on a Sunday for their $10 Parmy and Scotch Fillet lunches from 12-2!

01.01.2022 Every backyard should have an EZGO Australia cart or two!!!

01.01.2022 If like us you've been to Port Arthur you've possibly never been much last the entrance to the historical site unless you've been heading to Nubeena. Well a mere 500m up the road from there is the road that leads to the Tasman Golf Club...home of "THE CHASM"!!! We loved the course and can see that it would be a monster when the winds get up. Not sure how much wind they get on the peninsula but given you can see straight down to the Southern Ocean we'll go with a little bit e...very now and then. Snuck around the course in just over an hour and then had a chat with the members who were there for the Wednesday Twilight Comp that kicks off at 11am. So after dropping the family off to look at the old gaol head on down to Tasman and see how you go with the 8th across THE CHASM!!!
