Grace is a consistent, hardworking and versatile midfielder. Her main strength is compos...ure on the ball as she rarely makes mistakes in possession and recycles the ball effortlessly. With her tactical intelligence and ability to the read the game, she has huge potential and is capable of excelling as a defensive midfielder. 21.01.2022 The Centre for Applied Research in Youth Sport would like to welcome verified 2020 fall prospect Jacob Battista to our ‘Game-Changer’ program. Jacob played for Box Hill United in the Victorian National Premier League (NPL) U18 and U20 competition, as well as the St Kevin’s Senior Boys Team in the Associated Public Schools (APS) Competition. Jacob has recently transferred to top NPL side Eastern Lions based on his past season performances. He has the ability to play across any... position in the attacking line up making him one of the top attacking players over the last 2 years in the APS competition. He is technically sound, scoring goals with both feet outside the box, as well as close range inside the penalty area. He is physically strong on the ball and can hold the ball up front to allow his team mates to support and get forward. Jacob will be a great fit for any college wanting to attract a quality player. Our Game-Changer initiative creates life-changing opportunities for talented young athletes to secure scholarships to compete in US college sports while furthering their education.

15.01.2022 While we find ourselves in an unprecedented and rapidly evolving situation, the Centre for Applied Research in Youth Sport is continuing to assist Year 11 and 12 student-athletes explore their eligibility for US college athletic and academic scholarships for 2021 and beyond. While planning for the future might prove somewhat difficult for many students to focus on given the instability we are currently facing, our team remain on hand should any students wish to explore these alternative future pathway options in readiness for when we come out the other end of this difficult period. For more info or questions please feel free to contact our program’s student-athlete liaison Cameron Miller directly at: [email protected]

03.01.2022 Integrating elements of our strengths-based model of optimal development environments, we've recently finished our commissioned report for Sport England and the British Equestrian Federation. In partnership with Sheffield Hallam University’s High Performance Research Group, the research was commissioned to help underpin the British Equestrian Federation’s elite rider development strategy and to create a psychologically-informed environment through the youth coach education programs.

02.01.2022 Earlier this month Melbourne Sports Institute alumni and former Centre for Applied Research in Youth Sport marketing intern Ryan Patterson had the amazing opportunity to represent Deakin University at the annual Sport Marketing Association conference in Chicago. "It was an incredible experience to network with so many industry professionals, academics and students while making many friendships along the way." We would like to congratulate Ryan on a tremendous effort and for making it to the final round of the competition.
