21.01.2022 I am delighted to share that the book the Stories from Peter Mac is being released next Tuesday evening at 6.00pm in the Atrium on the Ground Floor of Peter M...ac. As an amazing counsellor and a master of language and communication, I’m so proud to be able to be contributing to honour Cas’ memory and legacy in this way. Cas loved books, stories, poems and loved to write too. A couple of pieces written by Cas are being published in this book along with many other pieces by the other incredible authors who have elected to share their stories publicly. These are stories from patients, carers and staff who completed the writing course held in the Wellbeing Centre. The Wellbeing Centre at Peter Mac is such a beautiful place. It is a space where people can relax or entertain themselves in between appointments. I also hold the Wellbeing Centre dear to my heart, as it is the place where Cas and I were able to marry, thanks to the amazing efforts, to make it happen in time by the remarkable team lead by Geri McDonald. Naturally, Cas appreciated the importance of the inclusion of wellbeing in her medical treatment. So I am absolutely positive she would be delighted that the proceeds from the sale of this book will go back into funding activities at the Wellbeing Centre. The book will be available at the Peter Mac Wellbeing Centre, it will also be available at Readings, and there will be an online version as well. 14.01.2022 This Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Therapists Training was a unique 2-Day Workshop, where not only did Cas share her amazing knowledge on the subject, but so too did many other therapists. Many have expressed to me, how much they regret missing this workshop and others run by Cas, as her extensive knowledge and brilliance as a therapist and a beautiful, caring person non-judgemental were second to none. For those who may be interested, it is still available, and the learnings... are all still relevant. For the month of June, the price of this along with a couple of other programs created by us and presented by Cas has been reduced.
