19.01.2022 Round 4 of the golden power series at Gippsland kart club definitely was one to remember.. We had dry practice on Friday which was great for the boys to get to know the track for the first time. The clouds rolled in Saturday which made it for an eventful day. We had both PJ & Alex in their comfort zone in the rain resulting in both of them putting it on pole position! Pj with grid of 8 and Alex with grid of 16 And with the rain hanging around we had high hope that we could co...ntinue the form for the rest of the weekend.. Heat 1 for Alex ended up 3rd with some needed adjustments for the next heat. Heat 1 for PJ was nearly a win until the last lap where he went off track and placed 2nd. Heat 2 for alex was an issue before it started with an electrical problem with the kart which resulted in having to manually start the kart on the grid. In all of the flurry alex maintained first position although he had an overheating issue with the engine which resulted in him dropping back and evidently retiring. Heat 2 for PJ started off to plan although also resulted in a DNF due to him being stranded in the in field not being able to rejoin. Heat 3 commenced on Sunday morning on a wet/Damp track with Alex starting out of 10th and a result of 6th. Heat 3 for PJ starting out of 8th he made his way through the field up to 2nd! just missing out on the win and showing the field that if there was a gap he was going got take it! Heat 4 had Alex starting out of 8th and finishing 8th wasn’t what we were after but we pushed on. Heat 4 for PJ had him starting 5th with a result of 2nd showing a steady defensive drive. The final was ran in the dry and Alex starting 6th and with a few trips across the grass he managed 6th. But received a penalty pushing him back to 8th. PJ started the final 4th with a hard fought battle he managed to bring it home in 2nd! and grab another trophy for the collection. The team can not be any prouder of PJ in every way, from driver feedback to aggressive but fair passing we cannot wait for the future The team appreciate all that helped over the weekend, spanner man Theo, Trex Motorsport and the Filippin Mad Motorsport family who would love your support after achieving 3rd position in cadet 12 but a post race controversial penalty cost him the place although Ayrton you are still a champ to us no matter who or what stands in your way, keep it up little man. And to our major sponsor Casabene Group and Ralph Guastella Motors we gave it our best shot.

06.01.2022 Recap for the 3rd round of the Golden Power series saw a mixed bag of emotions and results for both our boys: PJ had some great battles out there and took it to the top drivers who seemed to be very quick in a straight line in comparison. Learnt a lot and got some important passing experience..He managed these results from a grid of 6 Qualifying: 2nd... Heat 1: 2nd Heat 2: DNF due to loose rear bar from a collision Heat 3: 3rd Heat 4: 3rd Final: 4th Alex started off his weekend on a bad note missing qualifying due to the kart needing too much attention after practice which couldn’t be completed in time. Starting from the rear of a grid of 20 was the result leaving him with a challenge for the weekend. The class renown for heavy contact lived up to its expectations and although being in multiple incidents a top 10 finish was all we could achieve by the end. All we can say is we won’t be missing qualifying again anytime soon! 02.01.2022 GKCV August club day resulted in more silverware for the boys: Pj came away with 2nd place with posting the fastest lap in the final. He worked very hard all day to better himself and showed some great spirit! Alex had a clean sweep taking 1st place by 8 seconds to team mate Theo in 2nd and showed some great consistency and outright pace!.. Was great to see both Theo and Alex standing there together showing what team Work achieves in this sport....
