25.01.2022 What a perfect way to end the day! And the rainbow usually signifies hope for what is yet to come. So bring on tomorrow...we're ready to do it all over again. Kevin Sobels Wines Sun, 12 July 9am-2pm weather permitting

25.01.2022 Looks like it's going to be a gorgeous day tomorrow. Our wonderfully talented Handmade in the Hunter Markets stall holders will be ready for you to browse their... creations. With the Covid 19 rearing its ugly head in NSW, we all need to be vigilant about our social distancing. We as stall holders need to keep ourselves safe, but we need to keep you our customers safe as well. Please, as you visit our market, be conscious about how you distance yourself and others as you visit each of our stalls. Please wear a mask or have one handy if you find you need to cough or sneeze. Casbar's Kitchen will have plenty of jars of yumminess, but please be patient as you wait to purchase. We love you all and we want you to be safe with us. As this pandemic continues we will need to adjust how we do things, so that we can all continue to enjoy our wonderful market. Catch you out and about tomorrow. See more

23.01.2022 For the rhubarb and strawberry jam lovers you'll be happy to pick up a jar of this yumminess. Back in stock for this Saturday. Been a long time out of stock but now back with fresh rhubarb and strawberries. Soo yummy.

23.01.2022 Happy happy girl. Decided I needed something more solid to stand my sauce bottles in than plastic baskets. So, I thought it all out, bought what I needed and tada, I now have a purpose built wooden, flat display that the pesky bottles will stand up in. Ten pin bowling with glass bottles is not good. Will have to wait till next market to see how they go. Also made a small stand to display our gift towers of teeny jars on. All under coated and top coats done on both units. Will post pics at next market.

21.01.2022 Thanks from both of us.

20.01.2022 Amazing how you get used to the flavor of shop bought preserves and then along comes homemade. Our plum jam is one of those. Finally able to get plums again and now it's in stock. Yummo. Available at our market, Handmade in the Hunter Market Marathon, weather permitting this coming weekend or by order.

20.01.2022 Bring a brolly and wear a smile! There's supposed to be some nuisance drizzle over the weekend, so we want you to come ready for whatever happens. See you at the Handmade in the Hunter Markets! Kevin Sobels Wines // Sat & Sun 9am 5 Halls Rd.

19.01.2022 We're trying again so catch you then so you can stock up on all your yumminess .

19.01.2022 And COFFEE! You can find all of this - and more today at Handmade in the Hunter Markets. <3 Please be advised that we may need to close early to get stallholders packed up before the thunderstorm that is supposed to hit in the afternoon.

18.01.2022 Heavens to betsy folks, if you loved our ginger Worcestershire sauce, then you will absolutely love this batch. We have tripled the ginger instead of doubled it to see how it goes. A taste sensation for ginger and sauce lovers. You can pick some up tomorrow or Sunday if there's any left Sunday at Handmade in the Hunter Markets. Catch you then.

17.01.2022 So, what can I say... you have done it again. So many many jars of our yumminess went to new homes again today. Some lines have sold out or very low stock. Than...k you for supporting us again. We at Casbar's Kitchen HQ will be very busy chasing our tail this coming week trying to restock because we are doing it all again tomorrow at Handmade in the Hunter Markets. Remember that our Sunday markets close at 2pm and if bad weather threatens we can close earlier in order to get us all packed up safely before it hits. Come early rather than later and check out all our talented stall holders creations. See more

17.01.2022 Just a market update. You will find us at Handmade in the Hunter Markets tomorrow in Pokolbin 9 till 3, but come early as we may have to close early due to bad weather.

16.01.2022 I was at Riverflats Estate with 16 others for a yoga retreat... we had a fantastic weekend, sharing three houses, glamping tents set up on the grounds and we ha...d a dedicated spot for yoga. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat, we all loved it. There is a shop at the front with soaps, scrubs, lotions, olives and so much more for sale..we were treated to a foot scrub which left our feet feeling beautiful and soft. Thank you See more

13.01.2022 Thought I would pop this little post up. Even though we, at Casbar's Kitchen don't have a shop front, and only sell at markets, we welcome people if they would ...like to purchase any of our products privately. Feel free to contact us on 0487434423 to order and arrange for pickup or delivery to you. Have a wonderful day. See more

13.01.2022 How yummy does this look. Fresh cut strawberries ready to turn into jam. Find them on our stall on Saturday at Handmade in the Hunter Markets.

13.01.2022 Market stalls are set up in one of these 3 basic ways: 1. Walk in 2. Walk by 3. Walk around... And it's important for you to know how to physical distance in each one during Covid19. 1. In a walk-in stall only 1 person or family group can be in the stall. Please wait outside until they are finished. 2. In a walk-by stall, 2 people/family groups can be at the corners of the stall, as long as you stay close together. If it's a large family group that spreads across the front, then only 1 group at a time. 3. In a walk-around stall, multiple people/family groups can be at the stall if you mind the 1.5mtr physical distancing rule. Most of Handmade in the Hunter Markets stalls are set-up as a walk-around stall with extra space between stalls to allow for small groups of people to safely shop. Please be aware of others and keep the space safe between you! <3

10.01.2022 Been busy at Casbar's Kitchen HQ and made lemon, passionfruit and lemon lime butters. Wow, I forgot what lemon lime tasted like. For those of you who like our butters, we have plenty for Saturday's market at Handmade in the Hunter Markets. Jars full of yumminess.

10.01.2022 Day 2 of our double market at Handmade in the Hunter Markets and this is what our display looks like at pack up time this afternoon. Heavens to Betsy you came ...in droves to visit us all. Thank you so very much for supporting us again this weekend. Now to work out what the dickens I am going to cook this week so I can be ready for you all again on Saturday the 18th. Weather permitting that is. It's going to be a very busy week ahead again for Casbar's Kitchen HQ. Once again, thank you for supporting us. See more

10.01.2022 That's a wrap on our market year folks. Due to the latest Covid outbreak our market marathon with Handmade in the Hunter Markets for this year, 27,28 and 29th has had to be cancelled. Ordering is still available via this page, or [email protected] , or 0487434423. Our order/product list is available on request. It's been a pleasure to meet so many of you over this crazy year. We will be having a well deserved market break during January, but the cooking continues. We need to build up our stock for the new market year as well as introduce some new sauces and chutneys to our range. Please enjoy your summer break, be safe, thank you for supporting our business and we will see you in 2021. Tony and Shirley.

10.01.2022 How blooming busy can you get. I think by tonight the 2 of us will definitely need our bed. Casbar's Kitchen HQ is flat out trying to label approx 350 jars so w...e'll be ready for tomorrow. If you find us asleep on the job, you'll know why. Be gentle with us, it could be a long night tonight. Lol. See more

09.01.2022 Just like the wineries and restaurants, markets have a new set of rules they have to use. One is that we need to have one way in and one way out. The reasonin...g behind this regulation is that when people try to enter and exit through the same place, it's difficult to maintain physical distancing. Handmade in the Hunter Markets, in order to keep you safe from close contact when this happens, has created designated entry and exits on the market site. Please look for and use only these points when you visit us.

08.01.2022 If you have been following this page for a while, you know that I always try to give you a heads up when the market may need to be cancelled due to the weather.... We won't know until closer to Saturday what the next rain event is going to do but the forecast is for showers and rain for several days. So please stay tuned to this page as to what we will be doing. :)

06.01.2022 Thank you from us. We are so chuffed that you love our jams and pickles. Another busy day yesterday. Also so pleased that we were able to make big batches of our different pickles as we now have plenty of them for next market. This will now enable us to restock our jams over this next two weeks. After yesterday we only have about 10 jars of jams left. So it's hi ho and off to work we go on the sweets range. Once again thank you.

05.01.2022 Definitely great weather for getting out of the house this weekend. So get in the car and come explore the Hunter vineyards and this awesome handmade market.

04.01.2022 Thought I would put up a before and after pic of our Honey Sweet Corn Relish. Have had to make approx 19 litres this batch as demand is overwhelming. So darn yummy and I have orders for quite a few jars. Not bad when I get orders for 500g jars because they need more. Can pre order or pick up a jar at our next market.

04.01.2022 Could be a very tedious job, stoning those 20kgs of plums. They are not much bigger than good sized cherries. But oh what a flavorful jam and sauce they should make.

03.01.2022 I'm thinking that this could be me by Friday at Casbar's Kitchen HQ. Plenty to do to restock by then.

01.01.2022 From prepped to cooked. How good is that. Choko pickles done and dusted. That should keep a few people happy. Ready for our next market. You can order to be sure of a jar.

01.01.2022 NEWS UPDATE!!! We're waiting on an update from the NSW Premier regarding new gathering size restrictions that may affect whether we are able to run this weekend.
