17.01.2022 The Collingwood All Stars are delighted to announce the appointment of Allison Bogle in the newly created role of General Manager. Allison’s basketball experience is significant, having had stints with Basketball Victoria, and the Melbourne Tigers and Sydney Kings NBL franchises. Other corporate work includes time with Rio Tinto and the Australian Grand Prix Corporation. Allison is also a former WNBL player, having played basketball at national and international levels during... the 1990s. Acting President Julia Jamieson said Allison’s broad experience across sport, not-for-profit and the private sector would be invaluable for the All Stars. Allison brings a unique set of skills to the role. In relation to basketball alone, her experience includes player, coach and officials’ development, participation and community engagement, government partnerships and facility management, said Julia. Allison said she was looking forward to helping the Club further enhance its position as one of the inner city’s most diverse and vibrant community sporting associations. The Club is in a unique position to galvanise the local community, while creating lifelong-friendships through sport. I’m excited by the opportunity to join the Club. I am keen to focus on skill development opportunities for our girls and boys, and help further create the foundation for a strong All Star senior program. The Club has a proud history and is gaining in strength as a leading sporting association. I look forward to working with, and supporting, all our players, coaches and officials, said Allison.
